The next day was an interesting one, the cat from the previous day followed you. It was your first day at a new school, many new faces, but if you looked out the window at any moment the cat would be there. Other than that, there weren't many interesting things that happened, a blond girl was late for class, that seems normal from everyone else's reactions.
The teacher or rather Ms. Haruna was angry, even yelling at the poor girl, so you made a mental note to never upset her.
Many of the girls were talking about a sale going on at a jewelry store. You couldn't seem to be interested in that though.
Once the school day was over you looked all over for that cat. You wondered why it was just staring at you, all day. You didn't even interact with it, so it shouldn't be looking for you. But you couldn't find it. You wondered if you were hallucinating.
You sigh and decide to just go home, if the cat wanted to be found it would have shown itself by now, stupid cat. Once I start walking away from the school you feel like you're being followed, but every time you turn around nothing's there. You start walking in circles to make sure the feeling goes away, but it never does.
You're looking behind you as you walk, so you don't notice that someone is right in front of you until you collide with them. You lose your balance, but you're stabilized by someone, assumingly the person you collided with in the first place.
"Sorry! I wasn't paying attention."
"No, no, it's okay. I wasn't paying much attention either." The man says, you take notice of his kind, yet familiar sounding voice. He's tall, dark hair, and sunglasses for some reason. "You, okay?"
"Oh, yes, perfectly fine, just distracted."
"By what if you don't mind me asking?" He smiles."I..." You search for something to be distracted by that would make sense, not some weird feeling that you think is made by a cat. "There's a sale going on in a jewelry store nearby, but I don't actually know where it is."
"Oh, then you're in luck, I think we're going the same way. My name is Mamoru Chiba, what's yours?"
"Oh, I'm Y/N L/N. Nice to meet you Mr. Chiba." You hold out your hand for him to shake.
"Oh, Mamoru is fine." He takes your hand; his hands are quite soft.
"Then you can call me Y/N." He nods. You talk about random things we see while we go to the jewelry store. It's a little awkward, but what first encounter isn't'? Once you get to the store, he opens the door for you to enter. "Oh, thanks." He nods as you go in, he follows you in. You both look around and hearing that the prices are so cheap you decided that it's not very trustworthy. You look for Mamoru, but you seem to have lost him in the crowd.
You leave without telling him. You get home, Jovi is working in her office and dad is at work. You go up to your room and... the cat is on your bed. Your first instinct is to scream and run, but you don't do that, I mean, it's just a cat, it can't hurt you, right? Cats are less likely to have rabies, and this cat seems to be harmless... but how did it get in your room? There has to be a logical explanation for this, maybe Jovi let it in? Yeah, that makes sense.
"Well, hello."
Did that cat... just talk? No, that's not possible, cats aren't capable of human speech.
"I'm sorry for coming in without permission, but I really think we should talk."
That's when you actually scream, turn, and run.
"Wait-" The cat chases after you.
When you're out in the hallway, you see Jovi leave her office with a concerned look on her face. "Y/N, are you okay?" You look at her and you try to calm down. If you tell her, you heard a cat speak, she'll probably take you to see a doctor or a psychiatrist, is that what you need? Are you crazy? You point to the cat and Jovi looks, even she jumps back, but she coos and goes over to it... her? The cat's voice sounded female, soft, and sweet, like a melody.
Jovi bends down to start petting the cat. "I didn't know you wanted to keep this one Y/N, if you wanted to, we could have just let this little one inside. She's so soft, and cute." You wonder how Jovi knows the gender. The cat looks at you with pleading eyes, you know you aren't crazy, but you don't know what to do. You sigh and decide to not tell Jovi what happened.
"Yeah, she ran in without me noticing, that's why I screamed, sorry if I disturbed you." Jovi nods and stands back up.
"Don't worry about it, but I should be getting back now. Don't forget to do your homework before dinner." Jovi says before going back into her study.
You look at the cat. You go to your room and the cat follows you as you sit on your bed.
"Thank you." The cat starts. "I'm Ophelia, and I'm here to tell you something majorly important."
"No, no. no! Tell me how you can talk, that's where I want to start." You frown.
"Well, you see... I'm not a normal cat."
"I think that's pretty obvious!" Ophelia jumps back and runs under my desk. She's rather skittish. I sigh, "Sorry, I'm just... not used to a talking cat."
"I know, but people need your help, Y/N."
"How do you know my name?"
"I um... I know who you are, you are a sailor guardian."
"What's a sailor guardian?" You ask, getting even more confused.
"Sailor Venus, you're like Sailor Venus, but different at the same time."
"But doesn't she have magical powers or something?" You question
"I-well uh, yes."
"So, you're saying that I somehow have magical powers?"
"Yes."
"I'm gonna stop you right there. I'm gonna take a nap so I can clear my head, and you can find a way for this to make sense, later." You sigh and lay down.
"I'm sorry, I'm not very good at explaining things." Ophelia says, it sounds like she's almost in tears, like she doesn't know what to do. You sigh once more and turn to her.
"It's just a lot to handle. I didn't mean to make you upset, I'm sorry." You see Ophelia shake her head. You then sit up. "Okay, let me think, can you show me proof?"
Ophelia shoots up, seemingly feeling much better. "Yes! I have proof! It's on your windowsill." You smile and look over at it.
"A broach?"
"Yes! That is how you transform, all you have to say is say 'dark prism power makeup'." You nod and grab the broach.
"Dark prism power makeup!!" You feel a sense of calmness as the transformation happens, though not much seems to change about you besides your clothes. Though if you focus you feel more... powerful. "Okay... I have no way to disprove any of this anymore. Can you tell me what I need to do with this power?"
"We need to find all of the other sailor guardians and the two princesses. Evil things are coming for the princesses' power, and it is the sailor guardians' job to protect her. There are two groups of sailor guardians, the one you are a part of needs to find, Sailor Earth, Sailor Sun, and Sailor Star. The other group consists of Sailor Moon, Sailor Mercury, Sailor Mars, Sailor Jupiter, and Sailor Venus. But your group isn't only to protect the princess... but kill her if the need arises, she's powerful, and it was said she was never able to control her magic as well as her mother. So, her mother locked her away to protect her and the rest of her people. The princess you are protecting is said to have an evil heart, but I know that's not true! But if someone gets to her before we do, we would be in a lot of trouble. So please, Y/N, help me find the others, help me protect the people of earth!"
"Okay, I'll do it, I'll do all I can."
