Ashrit POV
I was talking to papa sitting on the bed when I heard a collapsing sound. I looked up and found her on the floor. Mom dad and I rushed to her when we found her fainted. I gently patted her cheek and called out her name, but there was no response. I picked her up in my arms and carefully laid her on the bed. Mom called for everyone, and we summoned the doctor to the room.
Everyone was tensed, as the doctor conducted the examination, my heartbeat involuntarily accelerated, nerves taking hold. I don't know why, but tension had enveloped me. The doctor explained that she had fainted due to low sugar levels.
Author POV
After being unconscious for like 15 minutes, Niyati slowly opened my eyes to find everyone gathered around her. Her mother and Shalini ( Ashrit's mother) and Ashrit were sitting on the bed next to her, Ashrit got up and stood away, leaning on the wall. Veer (he too, is a doctor. Mentioned in the part- "the families") checking her pulse, She smiled at them but they looked at her angrily and she said...
"Hello everyone!"
"Dimpy" Gunjan hugged her emotionally.
"Arey! Kya hua?" she asked while wiping off her tears.
( "Arey! What happened?" )
"Kya hua ki bacchi, jaan nikal di thi tune hamari" Reyansh said and smacked her head.
( "What's going on, dumbo? You nearly gave us a heart attack." )
"Ouchh bhai!, wo actually mai yahan se jaa rahi thi aur mujhe chakkar aaya aur..." Before she could speak, Shalini interrupted and said...
( "Brother, actually I was moving out of the room..when I felt dizzy and..." )
"Aur tu behosh hoke gir gayi, kahaa thaa na kuch khaale, itna low ho gaya tera sugar level" Shalini scolded her.
( "And you fainted, I specifically told you to eat. Your blood sugar went really low." )
"Stupid kahinki, pagaal hai tu?" Mahi zoomed in from dreamland, holding Niyati in a hug of pure panic.
( "Stupid! Are you crazy?" )
"Goodmorning Madam ji, neend khul gayi aapki?" Juhi asked in a sarcastic tone, which made Kabir giggle and he gave a high-five to Juhi.
( "Goodmorning Madam ji, you got out of your dreamland?" )
"Sorry naa mummy, gareeb doctor so raha tha, gareebon ko neend kam naseeb hoti hai." Mahi said, in fake sad tone, glaring at Kabir making everybody chuckle.
( "Sorry mummy, I'm just a poor doctor, who got a chance to sleep, you know poor doctors do not get this chance often." )
"Wahaan decorators ka dimaag kha rahi thi uski jagah khana khaa leti" Charu said and hit NIytai's arm.
( "You were eating decorator's head, you could have eaten food instead" )
"Puttar, ese mat kiyaa kar. Mera sabse honhaar baccha hi kamzor ho jayega toh kese chalega?" Bade papa said seriously.
