Brigitte pushed down on the plunger while Ginger, rather the creature she had become, prowled on top of her. The wolf's jaw hung open with the jab of the monkshood and the hot, wet saliva of the beast dripped onto Brigitte's face. It stung, like water that was too hot, and she shook underneath the strength of her sister. She - it was still breathing.
"Ginger.." she gasped sharply, almost hyperventilating.
Brigette scrambled from underneath it. She backed herself up against the wall violently and stared at the monster across from her. Suddenly, it fell limp like a rag doll, hitting the floor with a deep thump.
Suddenly, her grey skin began to crack. Her spine started to straighten out and she shrunk back to her original size. It was her sister again.
"Ginger." Brigitte choked as she scrambled over to her on all fours.
She shook Ginger violently.
"Ginger, Ginger, come back to me. Please Ginger."
She stopped breathing now, was cold and pale, naked as all her clothes had been torn off in the change. The remains of her lycanthrope form still remained; claws for nails, white streaky hair, and sharp canine fangs, and that god awfully hideous tail.
Brigitte lifted Ginger up against the bed frame and tried grab the water from the bedside table. She was rattling too much and dropped the glass on the floor, shattering it instantly.
"Fuck." Brigitte cried, scooping some of the water from the ground but picking up glass instead.
Suddenly, Ginger shot up from the frame. She coughed out - threw up a dark red substance. Brigitte knew it was blood. She knew it was flesh. It sprayed the other bed, chunks is skin and muscle.
She groaned in agony, sounding worse then a murder victim.
"Bridget..?" She moaned, falling onto her sister.
"Ginger. Your okay. Your okay- I thought I lost you."- - -
Brigitte spent the whole night cleaning up the room. It looked like a crime scene; bloodied chucks of meat - pieces of the janitor and Mr Wayne sprayed all over the floor. Broken glass and shattered artifacts from when they where younger.
It appeared like Ginger was back to normal or what normal had become; a freakish form of her sister that didn't belong in Bailey Downs, in her own body.
Was the beast still in her? Brigitte thought, pulling her sister from the ground to the bed, which she struggled with due to her size.
Brigitte tucked Ginger under the covers and prayed she wouldn't turn again.
Even though she was supposedly better, Brigitte couldn't shake the feeling that she wasn't.
Sleep didn't come easy that night.- - -
Ginger wakes up first and watches her sister sleep. She feels strange, like something has been ripped away from her.
It's gone, she thinks, like a surgically removed tumour. Reminiscence of it still remains in streaky scars and hair placed where it shouldn't be, but it's gone.
And like a tumour, there's still this lingering feeling It could come back, grow slowly and not show up until it's too late and she's a monster again.
I'm not better, Ginger thinks, I'm only going to get worse.Brigitte wakes up suddenly like she remembers her sister's dead, but she isn't, she's watching Brigitte carefully from her own bed. It's that kind of look that the Fitzgeralds are famous for. The look that makes teachers and students uncomfortable, wonder if they'r
sick or just crazy, but they're neither.
They're human teenage girls."Ginger?" Brigitte gasps, backing up to the headboard.
Ginger smiles with her teeth, but she's not happy, she's amused."Don't act so serious." Ginger laughs. She says it like she's back normal, before the period and before the Lichenthropy, but Brigitte knows her sister well enough to tell that she isn't.
