It was a normal day for one Hitoshi Shinso, resident brainwashing insomiac.
He woke up at 4am to start on his stretches, then went out at 5 for his daily jog. Sure, he doesn't dream of being a hero anymore, but it doesn't hurt to keep your body up, right? Better sorry than nothing, especially with the life he has now. Yes baby, the crazy mafia life. He'd swear on his so little sleep that being an aide to a mafia boss is more hectic than being a PR manager to a pro-hero with a scandalous lifestyle.
He'd practice his scarf techniques, just to keep himsef in shape, then cuddle with cats, try to get some naps in between whenever drowsiness visits him, and do whatever else catches his mind.
Like that one night. He fancied buying new video games. Instead he was in for an actual life game - not that life was a game, or what they offered was something exactly fun, either.
Hitoshi could've sworn he was a modern day Moses, except he's gone to the opposit spectrum, (is it still considered bad if they were helping people through the dark?), and that instead of a burning bush he got to talk to, it was a burning forhead with cool, almost emotionless narrowed eyes.
Reenacting Moses he may be, though, the talking flames was the only thing they had in common. Hitoshi wasn't a devout believer in religion. He was an atheist, if he said so himself.
Nevertheless, he found salvation in the mafia. (Sorry, Dadzawa. You only gave him freedom.) He found a new purpose with them.
Most importantly, he found home and love.
Meeting Izuku was something he never expected to happen in his life. He never expected to be recruitted into the mafia, either, which, in hindsight, he should have, with his so-called villainous quirk.
He never expected, despite it being the mafia, to find home, to find solace, to find love.
Izuku Midoriya isn't someone one would like at first glance, what with his either gloomy vibe or his deranged grin on the surface, whichever the mood strike him for. But that wasn't what called Tsuna to him. That wasn't what called Hitoshi to him.
It was those eyes. Those dull eyes that lost its vibrant shine, those eyes that's seen the worst life could offer.
Those eyes that Hitoshi likely sported as well.
Those eyes that even if it's seen all kinds of misfortune had it in them to invite him into their home and whisper love into his heart, when Hitoshi couldn't even care if the world burned itself. They spoke to him on a different level, one that soothes his mind and his soul translates as home, which is so hard to find in this world. A quiet peace found in another's gaze.
The same kind of eyes met, and fate played their hands. Because sometimes, two broken hearts find each other, and then they heal each other. They protect each other and love each other for the rest of their lives.
And when souls touch and hearts collide, a love awakens that cannot be denied.
Izuku and Hitoshi had a rough start, being hunter and target, and Hitoshi swore he didn't like the guy with the kind of sarcastic banter they had upon first meeting, but falling in love with someone you had no intention of falling for is the most beautiful kind of love. No forcing chemistry, or trying to save them. Just a pure, raw connection created on its own.
Isn't that what Mists represent? Creating something out of nothingness, and nothing from something; thus bewildering the enemy, to render the familigia's true form intangible with visions of deceit?
Bottomline, Hitoshi is not only Izuku's Mist Guardian, but is the greenet's boyfriend, too. Being both guardian and partner, he vowed to himself that he is Izuku's until hell rises form beneath the earth, and heaven's essence bleed through the sky's fractures. Hitoshi is Izuku's until death rips one from the embrace of the other, and drags them into the endless night. Until time relinquishes its hold on their existence, and eternity fades away.
And while waiting for all of those to happen, Hitoshi will kiss Izuku's scars, draw new memories on them to feel when he looks at them. Hitoshi will touch his pain away everytime with his fingers that he may crave his hands when it comes.
Hitoshi will love him till he forgets he was ever broken, because Hitoshi wants Izuku to feel the instinctive growl, the aching hunger, the unchecked need Izuku inspires in every damn kiss they share.
Until then, Hitoshi remains as Izuku's, because whenever Hitoshi looks back to the day they met, he still sees the beginning of his favorite love story.
For now, as he reveled in the faint blush Shoto has after a invoking a new feeling in him, as Izuku cuddled said teen in a way that's never meant to be friendly, Hitoshi would smile, because said love story is about get spiced up in the form of candy cane innocence.
Shoto lifted his hand up slowly, cupping their Sky's cheek, and spoke in a sudden bout of boldness that was probably brought out by their shared bond and the privacy of Izuku's room, feelings of uncertainty and adoration clear in his heterochromatic eyes.
"Forgive me if I stumble and fall, for know not how to love well. I am clumsy and my words do not form as I wish." His thumb grazed those chapped lips Hitoshi knows every crevice, every dip. He could feel both the nervousness and the excitement in Izuku as puffs of soft breaths come out of his mouh. "So let me kiss you instead, and let my lips paint for you all the pictures that my fumbling heart cannot."
Both Hitoshi and Izuku were rendered speechless with Shoto's mini speech, but they both felt the sincerity in it. Shoto and Izuku had locked gazes, and before Hitoshi could think, he stood up from his chair and climbed up the bed, took Shoto's other hand in his, and kissed the back of his palm. When he looked up, Shoto's eyes were now trained on him, the light pink blush earlier now a deeper shade of pink. Hitoshi smiled, inviting and seductive with an aim, and opened his mouth.
"We should go out sometime, darling," he said. "The three of us."
"Like a date." Izuku smiled, his radiance glowing. Grabbing the chin, he shifted Shoto's line of sight back into his admittedly mesmerizing green orbs. "And shallI take your earlier assertion as an invitation to kiss your lovely lips, then?"
Yep, that's definitely a deep red adorning Shoto's cheeks, now.
