Chapter 7 - Bothersome Battles

The first two matches had gone by in a blur, Midoriya beat Shinso because he somehow broke out of his brainwashing and knew what his quirk was.

Todoroki beat Sero in seconds with a massive ice wall. There's no more that can be said about that match.

"WITH THE ARENA ALL THAWED OUT IT'S TIME FOR THE NEXT MATCH!" Present Mic yelled out.

"It's Class-B's assassin!! Every... something-or-other has its thorns, right?! It's Ibara Shiozaki!"

"VERSUS!!!!"

"Look at those ears! They hide power but it's a dead quirk giveaway, Isamu Ichiro from Class A!!!!!"

Really Present Mic?

Shiozaki then went on to yell at Present Mic for his use of assassin and that she had only come this far by seeking victory, not to kill people. Whatever it was it was over and Present Mic began a battle countdown.

"3!!! 2!!! 1!!!!! START!"

I immediately flexed my claws and started running at her and kept myself angled toward the ground, whatever her quirk was it obviously had something to do with her hair, so I needed to be ready to slash at it.

I had reached the mid-point of the field when she clasped her hands together and closed her eyes, her hair then started to shoot into the ground. I could hear rumbling from under the stadium but couldn't pinpoint the noise, still I needed to close the gap, so I kept running.

CRACK!

Vines shot up from the ground all around me, I leaned back and slid on the ground, swiping at the few that were in front of me to cut them, the rest missed me, and a few didn't strike, was she hesitating? Must be because of the cut ones.

When I started losing momentum in my slide I crouched forward to plant my feet evenly on the ground before flipping backwards to dodge more vines, then while landing I cut them once more. I immediately started dashing forward as I was right in front of her.

She opened her eyes in shock, and I kicked her right in the stomach causing her to double over, I then used the opening to fully cut all the vines present from her neck down, rendering her quirk unusable for now.

She tried to step back in order to create distance and probably create more vines but,

"Shiozaki is out of bounds!" Midnight called out "Ichiro moves onto the next round!"

Her right foot was just barely over the line, I bowed and turned around to exit the arena.

"Looks like Ichiro was too fast for Shiozaki to snare! That was another fast match!" Present Mic yelled

The stadium hallways provided a nice silence for my walk back to the stands, I hadn't been sitting there before but unfortunately, I needed to study my next couple of opponents in person rather than through a screen, so sitting up there was mandatory.

Iida's match had started as I entered the Class 1A section, so no one had seen me. I took the first available seat and it happened to be the farthest from everyone as well.

This match was one I needed to watch as it contained my next opponent.

It lasted FIFTEEN minutes.

I couldn't gleam any kind of battle strategy because the entire battle was an un-skippable ad, Iida had won because Hatsume stepped out of bounds on her own after promoting support items.

The next match held 2 1-A students, Ashido and Kaminari. Asui had expressed that she wanted Ashido to win Mineta on the other hand, "Kaminari get her!!! Beat her like in those fighting games where their clothes get ripped off!!!!" He yelled out a little too enthusiastically.
