Minho
As Minho and Woosung stepped back inside the house, the warmth of the fireplace greeted them, but it was the concerned face of Jisung rushing toward him that made Minho feel truly at home. Jisung's eyes were wide with worry, his hands immediately reaching out to Minho's shoulders as if to reassure himself that everything was okay.
"Where were you?" Jisung asked, his voice filled with concern. "I woke up and you weren't here. I was worried."
Minho smiled softly, touched by how much Jisung cared. "I was just outside with your dad, talking. I'm fine, I promise."
But Jisung wasn't having any of it. He fussed over Minho, his hands moving from his shoulders to his face, checking him over as if Minho had just returned from some dangerous mission. "You're cold. Let's get you something warm to eat," Jisung said, already guiding Minho toward the kitchen.
Minho glanced back at Woosung, who gave him a knowing smile before heading back to the living room. Jisung wasn't one to be swayed easily when it came to caring for those he loved, and Minho wasn't about to stop him. It was nice to be looked after like this.
In the kitchen, Jisung busied himself with making breakfast, insisting that Minho sit down and relax. Minho watched as Jisung flitted around the kitchen, preparing everything with the same care and precision he always did. It was a small thing, but Minho appreciated it more than he could say.
Once breakfast was finished, Jisung pulled Minho away from the rest of the family and led him upstairs. When they finally made it to the quiet of their room, Jisung closed the door softly behind them, shutting out the noise and bustle of the household. The second the door clicked, Jisung turned, his eyes scanning Minho, not for worry this time, but with something deeper. There was a quiet intensity in his gaze as he stepped closer.
"Come here," Jisung whispered, his voice low, almost a command, as he gently pushed Minho onto the bed.
Minho let himself sink into the soft sheets, feeling the tension of the morning ebb away as Jisung climbed in beside him. The warmth of Jisung's body so close to his made his heart pound, and for a moment, the only thing Minho could focus on was the way Jisung's fingers brushed against his cheek, the touch featherlight but electric.
"I couldn't stop thinking about you while I was downstairs," Jisung murmured, his lips curving into a small, knowing smile. "Worrying, fussing... then thinking about us—our future."
Minho's throat tightened with emotion, the weight of everything that had happened—the proposal, the argument with his father, the overwhelming love from Jisung's family—pressing down on him. But here, with Jisung, that weight felt lighter. He could breathe, feel free.
Jisung must have seen the emotions flicker across his face because he leaned in, pressing a tender kiss to Minho's forehead. "You're my everything, Minho. I know last night was rough, but we're going to be okay. More than okay."
Minho didn't reply right away. Instead, he pulled Jisung closer, their bodies fitting perfectly together as he buried his face into the crook of Jisung's neck. He inhaled deeply, grounding himself in the scent of Jisung's skin, the familiarity of him calming the storm that had been brewing inside.
"I don't know what I'd do without you," Minho admitted softly, his words muffled against Jisung's shoulder. "You make everything feel right."
Jisung's hand trailed slowly down Minho's back, the touch sending a shiver through him. "You don't have to worry about that. I'm not going anywhere. You're stuck with me."
Minho tilted his head up, and Jisung captured his lips in a slow, deliberate kiss. It wasn't rushed or hurried; it was full of the promise they had made to each other, a silent vow between them that no matter what came next, they would face it together.
