Darkheart HCs (?)

I feel like most people don't realize just how chaotic he is.. like no he ain't chillin under that bridge 24/7 i bet he is out robbing a tomb in his free time.

It isn't as unlikely as hard as people might think to cross paths with Darkheart. The stars don't need to align with the sixteenth undiscovered planet. After all, you are more likely to share a drink with a deity in Crossroads than see a god in Rome, with how often the members of SFOTH visit the neutral ground.

It might have been sewers, a top of a building, or just him screwing something over for the hell of it. You pass, you notice him, you leave with a cloud of dust rising beneath your shoes.

That's it. Until you keep crossing paths with him. Some call it fate, you call it the curse bestowed upon you by the universe. From the most mundane things as fishing, to him hanging upside down from roblox HQs balcony as he twirls his sword like an 8th grader would a fidget spinner- you see this sucker absolutely everywhere.

Eventually, Darkhearts pattern recognition starts working too. Your horns start to seem more familiar, and it's like every second demon has the same gear.
The deity starts to take notice of you appearing around more often.

And the next thing you know, he is putting you in all sorts of wacky shenanigans. Hey, hold this, you totally random stranger- oh it's actually a millenia old artifact that if dropped will open the thousands of evils like Pandora's box- so better hold on! And then it turns out to be a jack in the box.

Or hey, look! There's this very, very interesting thing in the alleyway- and it turns out to be a dead guy. You look behind you, and Darkheat has popped out of existence, gone without a sound or a trace to accompany him. The wail of sirens in the background becomes ever so louder.

..General stuff like that. Darkheart is a deity of immense power, he views mortals as a whole. That doesn't mean that he is above picking favorites. Like how you look at an ants colony and decide that the ant number #7246 is currently your new favorite, because they dragged a piece of crumb a certain way that you liked.

You learn to accept that, that for some reason, you were ant #7246. Else if you don't, you end up rocking in a white room while writing letters to your loved ones with glitter pens.

Over time, his little ways to torment soften in blow. From magically pulling the carpet under your shoes heels, to showing you the ancient ways of cooking meth- throwing plastic rings over your horns, and then to... peacefully fishing under the bridge, casting the line into the placid waters underneath?

The first time the invitation reached you, you expected a shark to jump out and grab you by the legs, or for him to use you as the bait for the said shark. That did not happen.

You became something that could be called 'friends'.

And from there, it spirals- and you both eventually catch feelings.

Unlike his narrative foil, I feel like Darkheart would be more acceptive of fancying a mortal soul. I don't think that mortality would be a deal breaker for him, considering he spends quite some time around the passing, not to mention being friendly with Zuka.

Yeah, he would think about the eventual upcoming death of you- but hey, he will deal with that in the future.. I mean, there MUST be some artifact, rune, or spell to make you immortal, right? And you would want that, for sure! I mean, who doesn't want to live for thousands of years and watch everyone and everything they love and hate pass away and rot. Riiight?

This god does NOT know what timing is. Probably just another word they used to fill a stray page in the vocabulary. He will appear at your local dollar store at 4 AM, looking at you from aisle 4, will pop behind you at your work hour, and will do so shamelessly. Yall definitely had a few 'what are you doing in my house' moments. And then, he will disappear for a week straight. Never let them know your next move, gang.
