Electrified Rage

 ALPINE PASS - DAY- RUSSIA, JANUARY 1945-

Morita crouches over the transceiver. Jones listens to the transmission. Falsworth wields binoculars. Dugan and Dernier adjust a winch at the cliff's edge. Steve and Bucky stand in conversation we can't hear yet. Brianna Walks up joining the conversation.

"The engineer just radioed ahead. Hydra dispatch gave him permission to open the throttle. Whatever's on this train, they must need it bad." Jones says as he slips off his headphones.

"Well, they're not going to get it." Morita says with a cocky smile. Falsworth shakes his head, ever the pessimest. "I wouldn't be so sure... " in the distance, we can see a FAR-OFF, SPEEDING TRAIN. "Because they're moving like the devil."

Steve checks his rifle. Brianna is flipping one of her knives. Bucky looks over THE CLIFF'S EDGE. "Remember when I made you ride the Cyclone at Coney Island?" Bucky says looking back at us. "And I threw up?" Bucky looks over the edge again, leery. "This isn't payback, is it?" Steve looks up with a grin. "Now why would I do a thing like that?"

"Jerk." "Punk."

I holster my knife and Go up to Bucky. "Sergeant." I smile, he strokes my cheek softly. "Agent." I kiss him softly. Pulling back with a smile. I place a Bracelet on his right wrist. It has a date on the top |11-27-1943| The day he told me he loved me. And on the underside it says "I love you. Always and Forever - Doll"

"Now we can both carry eachother, wherever we are." I say with a smile. I watch as he reads the Bracelet with a smile. He kisses me passionately. Wolf whistles can be heard. I flip them off.

A TRAIN WHISTLE SHRIEKS THROUGH THE PASS. A FUTURISTIC HYDRA TRAIN APPROACHES. "All aboard, gentlemen! Mind the gap!" Falsworth shouts as Steve, Brianna, Bucky and Jones attach T-BARS to the cable. "Okay, this is a very short, very fast train. We've got a ten-second window, tops. Mistime it and you're a bug on the windshield." Steve tells Us. Dugan checks the speed of the train against his watch. "Better move it, bugs."

STEVE, BRIANNA, BUCKY AND JONES HOOK TO THE CABLE STRETCHING ACROSS THE PASS. Dernier raises his hand and...DROPS IT. Steve jumps, shooting away. Jones, Bucky, and Brianna follow.

HYDRA TRAIN, ROOF - DAY-

THE HYDRA TRAIN ROCKETS ALONG. WHAM, WHAM, WHAM. Steve, Brianna, Bucky and Jones drop hard onto the slick roof. They meet eyes: whew.

HYDRA TRAIN, REAR CAR - DAY-

STEVE KICKS OPEN THE BACK DOOR. He, Brianna and Bucky rush in, weapons ready, only to find...NOTHING. They look at each other. Steve heads for the next car.

HYDRA TRAIN, ROOF - DAY-

ON THE ROOF, Jones crawls toward the engine.

HYDRA TRAIN, MIDDLE CAR - DAY-

Brianna, Bucky and Steve bang into the next car...AND FIND IT EMPTY. Brianna unholsters a knife from her thigh. Suspicious. "I thought they were supposed to be hauling something." Bucky says confused. Steve unhooks his shield, wary. "They were." He yanks open the next connecting door, stepping into...

HYDRA TRAIN, FORWARD CAR - DAY-

ANOTHER DARKENED CAR. Steve, Brianna and Bucky creep forward then... WHAM. A STEEL PLATE DROPS OVER THE DOOR, SEALING THEM IN. The lights brighten, revealing...A MASSIVE HYDRA TROOPER. SIX AND A HALF FEET TALL AND HEAVILY ARMORED, BOTH OF HIS ARMS SPORT HUGE CANNONS.

STEVE AND BUCKY OPEN FIRE, but their machine gun bullets ping uselessly off the trooper's armor. THE TROOPER TAKES AIM AT STEVE...BLAM! The blue pulse blows th Shield out of Steve's hand and Slams him into the Backwall. Brianna attempts to Swipe out the troopers legs from underneath him. She gets Thrown.

The shield clangs to the floor. The trooper turns to Bucky and FIRES. Bucky dives. THE BLAST RIPS A HOLE IN THE WALL BEHIND THEM, OUTSIDE, A JAGGED RAVINE WHIPS PAST THE MOONLIGHT. A RED LIGHT BLINKS FROM A CAMERA ON THE CEILING.

HYDRA TRAIN, ENGINEER'S BOOTH - DAY-

DR. ZOLA watches on a monitor as the trooper presses in on Bucky and Brianna. HE LEANS INTO A MICROPHONE. "No. Finish the other one."

HYDRA TRAIN, FORWARD CAR - DAY-

THE TROOPER TURNS BACK TO STEVE as he gets to his feet. The trooper aims at the star on Steve's chest. BUCKY GRABS STEVE'S SHIELD OFF THE FLOOR AND LEAPS IN FRONT. "Bucky, no!"

BLAM! THE CANNON FIRES, HITTING BUCKY SQUARE IN THE SHIELD...BLOWING HIM THROUGH THE HOLE IN THE WALL. WITH A LAST DESPERATE EFFORT, BUCK SNAGS THE JAGGED EDGE.

THE TROOPER'S WEAPON IS MOMENTARILY SPENT BY THE BLAST. AS IT STARTS TO POWER BACK UP...STEVE LUNGES, GRABBING BUCKY'S SLIPPING HAND. STEVE STARTS PULLING HIM BACK IN. THEN...BLAM. THE TROOPER FIRES, VAPORIZING BUCKY'S ARM INTO A BLUE MIST.

HYDRA TRAIN, ROOF - DAY-

On the roof, Jones stares in horror as... BUCKY'S BODY WHIPS AWAY, TUMBLING INTO A BOTTOMLESS GORGE.

HYDRA TRAIN, FORWARD CAR - DAY-

Steve reaches out in anguish. "BUCKY!" The only response is wind and the clatter of train wheels. Brianna is on her knees, staring out at the hole in the wall, tears forming.

The trooper takes another step. STEVE GRABS HIS SHIELD AND TURNS, ENRAGED. THE TROOPER FIRES. THIS TIME, STEVE HOLDS ON, KNOCKING THE BLAST AWAY WITH HIS SHIELD. HE ADVANCES.

HYDRA TRAIN, ENGINEER'S BOOTH - DAY-

Zola slams his hand on the console. "Again! Fire again!"

HYDRA TRAIN, FORWARD CAR - DAY-

THE TROOPER FIRES AGAIN. STEVE DEFLECTS IT AND KEEPS COMING. THE TROOPER RE-AIMS. Shaking with rage Brianna stands up. A feel of charged electric rage fills the train car as She approaches the Trooper. ELECTRONIC DEVICES SPARKING AND POPPING AS SHE APPROACHES.

A new found ability, found in grief and rage. Brianna pounces on the Trooper before he has a chance to fire swinging her thighs around his neck and snapping it with her bare hands.

HYDRA TRAIN, ENGINEER'S BOOTH - DAY-

THE SCREEN GOES DARK. Zola swallows, frightened. He turns for the train controls. Then...CLICK. A .45 PRESSES INTO HIS TEMPLE. JONES HANGS FROM THE ROOF, GUN ARM EXTENDED INTO THE WINDOW. "Stop this goddamned train."
