HIDE ME

My father leaves as if what he just said meant nothing.

He comes back again about five minutes later with a glass of water and a pill.

"Take this, it'll help with your headache." He says.

I glance at him suspiciously, "My head is fine."

"Soon it won't be, so do as I say and take this pill or you will suffer in silence."

I glare at him but I take the pill regardless.

He reaches his arm out to me and I slap it and get out of bed on my own,  I regret that for instantly I crumble to the floor.

He chuckles as he helps me up, "You definitely inherited your mother's stubbornness, come along now." and he drags me out the door.

He dropped me off in my bathroom and I take the opportunity to have a bath.

I closed my eyes as I soak in the bath, breathing in the scent of my soaps, listening to the water swishing gently.

A few moments later I felt fingers on my scalp, I yanked the wrists around my head forward, pulling the intruder closer.

"Hi" Ella whispers.

Ella.

"Oh my god." I whisper, right here in front of me is Ella, no one is around us. This is the first time in weeks I've been around her alone.

"How did you get here?" I ask, I figured while letting us "be together" he would still do his best to minimize our time together.

"I snuck out of Evie's laboratory, by the way, how is she even alive? I ripped her heart out of her chest." she says, reaching for the shampoo once again.

I sit back momentarily stunned, no one ever explained how she came back.

"I don't know." I answer honestly.

She shrugs and reaches for me, I lean back.

"What are you doing?" I ask.

"I wanted to wash your hair, is that okay?" she asks, and the look of pure love in her eyes is enough for me to give in.

"Of course." I lean back and close my eyes, letting her touch relax me.

"Hey guys! Happy reunion- oh my god seriously!? You've been reunited for thirty minutes and you're already getting it on? You guys need some horny pills or something."

Kenji, of course.

Ella leaps up from her crouched position, running into Kenji's arms, soap flinging everywhere.

I quickly cover myself with a towel and step out of the bathtub.

"Uhm Warner, so not to ruin the moment but you know youre supposed to rinse the soap off right?" Kenji says.

I roll my eyes, "Obviously Kishimoto, I would have if you hadn't interrupted Ella and I's moment."

"You're always having a moment."

"Love, please kick him out."

"Come on Kenji let's wait out here while Aaron rinses off." Ella says, she drags Kenji out of the room and I quickly rinse off, getting dressed immediately.

I exit the bathroom to see the room empty.

I check all the areas in case they were hiding, but the room is completely empty.

"Ella? Kenji?" I call out. Silence is my response.
