Hana POV
The next morning we decided to have breakfast with the others. As we walked in the throne room, Kanbee, Hanbee and Mitsunari were already seated with their food in front of them.
"Good morning." I say with a smile
"Good morning! did you sleep well?" Hanbee asked
"Sort of everything that happened yesterday was so sudden.." Yuzuki says
"Yes, Hideyoshi energetic behavior always seems to surprise us." Kanbee says
"But to propose marriage so sudden is.." Yuzuki says
"Foolish." I say with a little bit of a giggle
"Hey! Food! Food!" Hideyoshi says with a grin
"Alright I'm starving!" Toshiie takes his seat next to me and starts eating.
Yuzuki sits next to me and Hideyoshi
"So have you made up your mind about marrying me?" He asks
I nearly choke on my food.
"Why do you want to marry me? surely there are other ways to protect me." she says
"I like you, call it instinct or love at first sight." Hideyoshi says
"Hideyoshi you're so bold!" Hanbee says
"Or pigheaded.." I mumbled which caused Toshiie to burst out laughing.
"If you marry me, I will protect you unconditionally but, if you refuse you'll have to be useful to me in other ways." He says
"Huh?" Yuzuki looked at him
"Unlike Hana you don't have any abilities or come up with strategies in battle can you?" He says
"Well I'm sorry, but I can't just marry you so easily either." She says I smirk
"You're a tough one." He laughs
"Hideyoshi why don't you give her a bit more time to decide, they do say haste makes waste after all." Kanbee says
"I guess so, Then I guess I'll have you help out with troop duties for now, but I'm the type who'll use whatever means necessary to get what I want just remember that." He says
After breakfast Yuzuki went with Mitsunari to go to the castle town to help Mitsunari with his errands. I went with Toshiie.
I watched as Toshiie practiced, he was really good,
after that he put me on a horse, he was behind me of course I'm too small to ride a horse by myself,
"Well let's begin teaching you how to ride a horse." Toshiie says
riding in a few circles.
"You're a quick learner." He says
"I aim to please." I say with a smile
He chuckles we ride towards the forest near the castle town.
"Oh? I didn't tell you this but, the castle town has flourished because of Hideyoshi." He says
"Huh?" I looked at him over my shoulder confused
"Way back in the beginning there were very few people and keeping peace was difficult, but Hideyoshi refused to leave that town and all thanks to his hard working effort the town is what it is now." Toshiie explained
"Really? I looked at him in wonder but his brows furrow
"But recently a group of ruined fugitive soldiers has been repeatedly pillaging this area, however Hideyoshi came up with a big plan to wipe out the enemy with a natural flood disaster." Toshiie explained
