Trekking in Chopta

Trekking is the primary attraction in Chopta, with trails offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. The most popular trek is the Tungnath and Chandrashila trek, a moderately challenging route that takes you to the highest Shiva temple in the world, Tungnath, and further up to Chandrashila Peak. From Chandrashila, you can witness panoramic views of peaks like Nanda Devi, Trishul, and Chaukhamba.

For an easier trek, the Deoria Tal trek is an excellent option. Starting from Sari village, this short trek takes you to the serene Deoria Tal Lake, known for its mirror-like reflection of the Chaukhamba peaks.
