In a time when the medieval world teetered on the edge of darkness, sin festered in the hearts of men. Seven deadly spirits—Pride, Envy, Wrath, Sloth, Greed, Gluttony, and Lust—roamed freely, weaving their malevolence into the lives of all who dared cross their paths. Villages fell into despair as greed twisted the hearts of kings, and envy poisoned the bonds of families. It was a world where the wickedness of man was no longer merely a moral flaw but had taken on a life of its own—tangible, dangerous, and untamed.

At the heart of this chaos, in a forgotten village, lived a priest named Father Gregor. Known for his piety, he harbored a secret ambition, one that made him unlike any servant of God. Gregor had grown weary of watching sin destroy his flock, and in his desperation, he conceived a dark and dangerous plan. Rather than merely banishing these malevolent spirits, he sought to capture them.

Gregor, schooled in the ancient arcane arts, believed that if he could imprison the spirits of the seven deadly sins within a single, powerful mage, he could control and harness their power. With such a weapon in his grasp, he would become not only the savior of his village but perhaps of the entire realm. However, such a plan came at a great cost—a cost Gregor, in his growing ambition, was willing to pay.

Thus began his dark quest to summon, bind, and imprison the seven deadly spirits, never suspecting that in seeking to control them, he might instead be controlled by them.

Father Gregor, driven by his conviction and the lure of power, set his plan into motion. After months of secret rituals and dangerous incantations, he found the perfect vessel—Anna-Maria Lindner, a young and gifted sorceress. Hailing from a once-proud line of mages, Anna-Maria's family had long served the people, using their magic to heal and protect. But fate had another plan for her.

Gregor tricked her into assisting him under the guise of purging evil from the land. When the ritual reached its climax, he revealed his true intent: to bind the seven deadly sins within her very soul. The spirits, wild and uncontrollable, screamed as they were sealed inside Anna-Maria, twisting her magic and burdening her with a curse that would last for generations. From that moment, she was no longer free, no longer a sorceress working for the good of the people. She was the vessel of sin, her life forever tethered to the will of the Church.

Gregor, now hailed as a hero, was sanctified by the Church for his supposed triumph over evil. He was appointed a new saint, revered for having "defeated" the seven deadly sins. His rise to glory was swift, and his name became legend. Meanwhile, Anna-Maria, forgotten by history, was condemned to live in the shadows, carrying out the Church's most dangerous and secretive missions—its "dirty work." When wars needed to be waged from the shadows, when rebellions had to be quelled by unseen hands, it was she who did the bidding, controlled by the Church's will, her powers twisted by the seven sins she carried within.

As the years passed, the curse of the seven deadly sins became a dark inheritance passed down through Anna-Maria's bloodline. When she eventually perished—worn down by the centuries of bearing such a terrible burden—the curse passed to her newborn great-grandson. And so the cycle continued. Each descendant of the Lindner family was forced into servitude, their magic bound by the Church and their lives ruled by the same sins that tormented their ancestor.

Centuries rolled by, and the world changed. Magic, once known and feared, slowly faded into myth as science and reason took its place. People no longer spoke of the seven deadly sins as real forces but as old moral teachings, and the story of Father Gregor's triumph and Anna-Maria's cursed line became a forgotten legend.

Now, in the present age, the memory of that time is little more than a whisper. It is no longer known if the tale is just a story passed down through the ages or if a descendant of Anna-Maria still walks among us—carrying within them the burden of the sins, waiting to be awakened. Should such a descendant exist, the world may soon be reminded that even forgotten curses never truly die.
