♡ :: I Need To Tell You

We were at mingyu and wonwoo's dinner party the night after you told me you loved me for the first time.

We had been dating for a couple of months now and yet you, Joshua Hong, still took me by surprise as you said those three words. suddenly it hit me that this was real. I was merely just floating around the novelty and tenderness of our blossoming relationship as it felt like it was too good to be true, like it was only a fairy tale.

Though I felt it from you for sure, even way before your mouth uttered it. But hearing it come straight out of your lips elicited a new exhilarating high that I've never experienced before, even in my past relationships. During that dinner party even, I was still trying to recover from your confession. Trying to mask my intense emotions from our clueless friends. Though I didn't mind them knowing, some part of me wanted to just keep the memory of your dear confession all to myself for a little while.

A round of laughter from our group brought me back to my senses. Seungkwan and Mingyu bickering lightly as the rest of the party; Jeonghan, Seungcheol, Wonwoo, and Hansol share amused looks.

We were standing next to each other as our friends were gathered around the kitchen island, sipping cocktails and snacking on our appetizers. It was slightly cramped, my shoulder bumping your chest every so often. I could feel your breath on my neck every time you'd laugh or say something to the group.

I kind of felt bad because I had no idea what the subject of our friends' discussion was. All I could really focus on was the warmth that was emanating from your body. I couldn't help but lean into you more and you acknowledged my action with a small soft kiss on my shoulder, my favorite habit of yours that never fail to make me flustered.

I felt my cheeks heating up so I had to look down incase Jeonghan, who was right infront of us, saw me flustered and red. My eyes focused on the space between our hands and I couldn't help but think about how much I wanted to hold it in mine. So I casually inched my fingers to yours, feeling a spark ignite from the smallest of touches. Electricity  shooting up from my arm after the contact. and maybe it wasn't just me, because as soon as our fingers met I felt your breath hitch.

I focused my attention towards our friends, seeing you give me a few glances out of the corner of my eye. I turn to you and you give me small smile. I remember getting lost in your eyes and realizing that the only thing that i could think of at that particular moment was how I loved you too and I couldn't wait to tell you.
