Bella's pov .

I left his place in pain, broken. It actually felt like the pieces of my heart can never be put back. I budded a taxi and headed to hotel quite far from this neighborhood, I needed a place where I could breath some non toxic air .

I got into the hotel, booked a room and settled in. As I layed on the bed I felt very suffocated and tight on the inside, I needed to get some fresh air .

So I stepped out of the hotel , taking a deep breath of the cool evening air. I walked for hours, trying to clear my head, but the memories still lingered.

Jake's betrayal, Camilla's deceit, the miscarriage, the abuse... it all swirled in my mind like a toxic storm.

I trudged back to my hotel room, exhaustion etched on my face. I collapsed onto the bed, I needed a distraction, a purpose. I took my laptop scanning the internet for job vacancies.

As I scrolled through the listings, one caught my eye - Darwin Motors, the largest automobile company, one of the Darwin group. They were in need of a secretary. The pay was staggering, and I felt a spark of determination ignite within me.

I couldn't let my past define me. I had to rise above it, for my own sake.

I began to type out my application, my fingers flying across the keyboard. I would get this job, and I would use it to fuel my revenge plan.

Darwin Motors would be my ticket to independence, to freedom from the pain of my past.

As I submitted my application, a sense of resolve hardened within me. I would not be broken. I would not be defeated.

I would rise, and I would make them pay.

The screen glowed in front of me, a beacon of hope in the darkness. I leaned back, a small smile playing on my lips. The game was on.

I lounged on the hotel bed, my phone glued to my hand as I awaited a response from Darwin Motors. Hours ticked by, and I was starting to lose hope.

But then, my phone buzzed. I snatched it up, my heart racing as I read the email.

"Please arrive at our office yesterday for an interview with our CEO, Alex Darwin."

Yesterday? I groaned, realizing I'd missed the initial interview date. But I wasn't one to give up easily. I quickly typed out a response, apologizing for the mistake and requesting a new interview time.

To my surprise, they agreed to see me today.

I sprang into action, my exhaustion forgotten in my excitement. I showered, dressed in my best outfit, and styled my hair with precision.

As I arrived at the office building, my nerves began to flutter. But as I stepped into the elevator, a sly smile spread across my face.

This was it – my gateway to success. And who was better to grant me that success than the handsome billionaire CEO himself, Alex Darwin?

I walked into the office, my head held high, and was immediately struck by the sight of him. Chiseled features, piercing blue eyes, and a charming smile that made my heart skip a beat.

I knew in that moment, I had to get this job. Not just for the paycheck, but for the chance to be close to this captivating man but not for love but for my revenge

"Good morning, Mr. Darwin," I said, extending my hand.

He took it, his handshake firm, his eyes locked on mine. "Good morning. Please, call me Alex."

I smiled, my mind racing with possibilities. This was going to be interesting.

The interview began, and I launched into my prepared responses, showcasing my skills and experience. But as the conversation flowed, I found myself relaxing in Alex's presence. His piercing blue eyes seemed to bore into my soul, yet I couldn't help but feel drawn to him.

We made eye contact countless times, each glance sparking a flutter in my chest. I held his gaze, refusing to back down, and he seemed to appreciate my boldness.

As we discussed the role and responsibilities, I couldn't help but notice the way Alex's eyes crinkled at the corners when he smiled or the way his hair curled slightly at the nape of his neck.

But I wasn't here to get distracted. I needed to make a good impression, to show him I was the perfect candidate for the job.

So I channeled my inner confident, clever lady. I leaned forward, my voice taking on a persuasive tone. "I believe my skills and experience make me an ideal fit for this role, Alex. I'm a quick learner, a team player, and I'm not afraid to take on challenges."

Alex nodded, his eyes never leaving mine. "I like your style, Bella. You're certainly confident. But can you tell me, what makes you want to work for Darwin Motors?"

I smiled, a plan forming in my mind. "I've always been drawn to innovative companies, Alex. And Darwin Motors is leading the way in sustainable energy solutions. I want to be a part of that vision, to contribute my skills and experience to help drive the company forward."

Alex leaned back in his chair, a hint of a smile playing on his lips. "Well, Bella, I think you'd be a great fit for our team. We'll be in touch soon to let you know our decision."

I left the office building feeling hopeful, my heart still racing from the countless moments of eye contact. I knew I'd made a good impression, but I also knew I wanted more. I wanted to see Alex again, to explore the spark that had ignited between us.

I stepped into the hotel lobby, still feeling a buzz from the interview. As I walked towards the elevator, my phone rang, shrill in the quiet space.

I snatched it up, my heart racing with anticipation. "Hello?"

"Bella, this is Alex Darwin. I hope I'm not interrupting anything."

My pulse skipped a beat at the sound of his voice. "Not at all, Mr. Darwin. I mean, Alex."

"Great," he chuckled. "I'm pleased to inform you that you've got the job. We were impressed with your confidence and skills. You'd be a fantastic addition to our team."

I let out a squeal of delight, pumping my fist in the air. "Thank you so much, Alex! I won't let you down."

"We're looking forward to having you on board," he said, his voice warm with smile. "Can you start as soon as possible? We've got a lot of work to do, and I'd love to have you dive right in."

I nodded, even though he couldn't see me. "Absolutely. I'll be there bright and early tomorrow morning."

"Fantastic," Alex said. "I'll have my assistant send over the details. Welcome to Darwin Motors, Bella. We're going to do great things together."

I hung up the phone, grinning from ear to ear. I felt like I was walking on clouds as I stepped into the elevator, my heart soaring with excitement.

This was it – my fresh start and the first step in achieving my plan. An angelic devil had just been born.
