You And I

Chapter 4

I woke up and found my roommate was still asleep so I checked the time and it was 8:30 by the watch. The beautiful sunlight was piercing through the windows of our room.
I had 2hrs and 30 mins to get ready for my classes. I decided to wake up my roommate but then I realised that I was so tired the previous day, I forgot to ask my roommate's name. I laughed at myself. But anyway, I've to wake her up coz we've classes from 10.

"Hey, wake up it's already 8:30 by the clock. We need to get ready." I called her.
"Mmm..Okay! You go get ready. I'll be up in 5 mins." she said covering her head with the blanket. I laughed at her and I went to the shower.
The warm water felt soothing on the strained muscles of my neck. I put some shampoo on my hair and rinsed it quickly with the slightly warm water. I grabbed the towel and helped  dry the little water that were on my skin. I put on my collage uniform and to my surprise I liked the uniform. It was a black skirt which fell slightly over the knees with a white shirt which had a logo of our collage and over which there was a black blazer also with the collage logo. After I got ready I went over to check my roommate. She was up and I found her checking her phone. When she saw me, she went to get her clothes and got ready for the shower. I stopped her midway.
"Hey, what are you doing?" almost tripping over my foot. I forgot to ask your name. I was so tired yesterday and I'm sorry.
"No issues. I completely understand. By the way I'm Natalie. What is your name love?" I smiled at her sweet gesture. "I'm Dona and you really have a nice name." Her smile widened. "Thanks, your name is unique too." I smiled at her.
She hugged me and went to the shower.
I decided to fix my hair. I combed my hair and decided to tie it in a neat ponytail. I was ready. I found Natalie was already out of the shower. When I was about to gather the things to put  inside my bag I found Natalie was ready. I was surprised at the speed of her work. She winked at me and I motioned her to check the clock.
"Holy shot! It's already 9:20. We need to get going." It was the first day and we will be getting our time schedules so we need to get there a little early.
Natalie was an English major so our classes won't be together. I was little worried about finding my class partner as I'll be again by myself inside the classroom. Natalie patted my shoulder and assured me that everything will be ok. I smiled at her and we both set off to our classes. We both walked together and I noticed the boys dorm building a couple of distance from the girls building. As we were walking towards the class building we met a boy who was a little taller than me. He had hazel eyes with short brown hair. He stopped and smiled at us. "What is your name? May I ask you." he said. I smiled and replied to his question. "I am Dona. What is your name?" He reached for my hand to shake it. "Hey, I am Steve. Nice to meet you. So, what is your subject?"
"I've taken biology major. What about you?" waiting for his reply. "Cool. Looks like I already got a partner." He winked at me and I couldn't stop smiling. He had a cute smile and I found myself staring at him. Natalie made a loud clapping sound which caused me to return back to my senses. I hit her playfully on her elbow. He introduced himself to Natalie and then we continued to walking towards the building. We reached our classroom and found some students have already taken their seats. I saw that the third seat was empty so me and Natalie took the seat and Steve sat behind us. I saw the classroom was getting filled up and within a minute the classroom was packed with students.

5 minutes later, a middle aged woman entered our class. She was short with black tresses which fell just above her shoulder. She motioned the class to stop talking. "Hello. I am Amy and I'll be giving out the class schedules for your respective subjects. And I'll also be teaching classes for those who have taken biology as a major." She gave out the schedules and within a minute I found myself matching schedule with Natalie looking for how many classes we both have together.

I found that we have one class together. It was the Physical Education class. I checked my schedule and found that my next class was Physics. Natalie left for her class and her seat was taken by Steve. I smiled at him and we waited for the teacher.
A teacher walked into our class. He was a man of 30 with heavy stout figure wearing specs. "Hello, I am Charles and I'm going to teach you guys Physics. Please everyone take out your physics book and turn to page number 4. We will start Refraction today." After a well 1hr class, we went for our next classes.
I met Natalie again during the P.E class and we talked about our first classes in collage. "Our English teacher is a pain in the ass. She gave us all homework during the very first day of collage. She is already pissing me off." I laughed at her remark and we both walked towards our dorm room when our classes got over. It was 3pm and I was already tired.

I unlocked the door and threw myself in my bed. I checked my Twitter and tweeted a tweet. I smiled as I saw my best friend replied to the tweet that I posted a min ago. I replied her. I miss her so much. I haven't talked to her since I came here. I have so much to tell her.
I saw Natalie on her bed sitting with the phone in her hand. "Hey what are you smiling at?" trying her way best to sneak at my phone screen.
"I was just checking my Twitter and saw my best friend replied to a tweet I posted a min ago. You don't have to sneak like that. I don't have a boyfriend and I'm not hiding anything from you." I winked at her.
"Haha, by the way what is your Twitter name? I'm there too. Mind following me?" she smiled at me.

"I am @IJFansIndia on Twitter. Give me a follow and I'll follow you back."
I saw a notification pop up on the notification tab and saw an account following me. It was Natalie. I immediately followed her back.
"Wait, are you also an Impractical Jokers fan?" she asked me while checking my account. "Yeah, they are my life. I love them so much. Wait, why are you asking that?" I can almost see a hint of smile on her lips.
"I am a big fan of them too." she said giving me a hi-5. We both started jumping like five year olds.
"So, who is your favourite joker?" she waited for my reply.
"I love them all equally but I have a soft spot for Sal. What about you?"
"Same here but I find Murr cute." She was blushing and I hit her on her head. She slapped me on my hand playfully. Then we both sat discussing about our favourite punishments and laughing at the random dialogues from the Impractical Jokers episodes.

We spent the remaining day chatting together. I called my mom before going to bed at night.
Today was my first day in collage and it was good. I made some new friends and everything was a nice experience.
