Not an Off Day

Mango and Brash thought that they would have Saturday off. The two gators were relaxing in their quarters. Mango was making bracelets whilst Brash was reading and listening to music.

Just as he was about to grab another pony bead, one of the buttons on Mango's V.E.S.T blinked blue.

"Brash! G.I.'s calling!"

Brash looked up from his book at Mango's V.E.S.T and sighed.

"Seriously?" He groaned. "He said we'd have an off day!"

Mango pressed the button and a projection of the General Inspector shot out of it.

"InvestiGators! So sorry to disrupt your off day, but you're needed for a case!" The G.I. told the two.

"What's the case?" Mango asked, still working on his bracelets.

"Well, there's a toy store near the outskirts of town called 'Roxy's'. The owner said that recently she's been having all of her money stolen every night. I would have gotten the B-Team to work on the case, but they've got a lot on their paws at the moment."

"Alright, we'll get to it.." Brash murmured.

"Wonderful. Once again, so sorry for the bad timing. Good luck."

The projection zipped back into Mango's V.E.S.T. Brash stood up and pulled Mango by the arm out of the room.

"But- my kandi!" Mango yelped as Brash pulled him around.

"Mango, you can work on that later. Crime doesn't rest just because we do."

Mango grumbled. He knew Brash was right, he just didn't really care. He wanted to have a break for once. Every time he was free, some new mission just had to come along and ruin his fun.

"C'mon, Mango, to the sewers!" Brash said, walking faster.

"Gah, fine. Just stop pulling me!"
