so ye author out

In the library, the protag was grabbing some books to read, mostly literature as it isn't my strongest subject.

Reaching a table, he opened a book to read on the subject but he was able to quickly notice something.

"Why the fuck is the subject so behind?" he said to himself.

The book inside was a literature book and by now he should be learning more complex things and not this. While he wasn't the best when it came to literature, the things inside of this book is around the 6th grade level, it shouldn't be in a place like this.

'What the fuck is happening?' he thought.

It was strange to say the least. Grabbing the other books and opening them, he could quickly tell that they were also behind the grade level for the school.

Getting up, he put away most of the books before moving to the nearest counter.

At the counter, he could see a person around his age, probably an student assistant, at the counter reading a book.

They were female and also were a rather pretty person to look at with their strawberry blonde hair and amber eyes. She wore reading glasses and had her hair in a ponytail but had slight eye bags, probably from overwork with how she carries herself and her clothing. She also wore a cross necklace.

She was invested in the book she had and it had taken him tapping on the desk for her to finally notice him.

"Oh!? Sorry for not noticing earlier, anyways what brings you here." She asked before continuing. "You're new here from the looks of it as I have never seen you before."

'She was able to tell that easily?! She has a rather good memory of remembering people she has seen.' he thought to myself before nodding to her.

"Okay, then I should explain what this desk is." she said. "This desk is for renting books and buying school appropriate clothes, if needed. Do you understand?"

Slowly, he nodded, he was confused on why it is like that but it didn't really matter for now. On another note it was easy to tell, from the looks of it, that she was someone that did things in a professional manner or at least tried to be professional.

"That's good, do you have any questions about this?" she asked.

"No." he said.

"Okay, so now that you know, do you have anything you need me for? You came here for a reason, correct?"

Nodding, she looked at him for a bit before just sighing.

"If you're here to ask me on a date then my answer is no."

"-_-" he looked at her with a deadpan. "I'm here to ask if this is the average level." he said this to her while taking out the literature and passing it to her.

She looked at him strangely for a bit, probably confused by what he was saying.

"Yeahh....? It is....why are you asking?" she asked.

He looked at her for a bit before sighing.

"Goddammit. Ugghhh, of course it is....." he rambled on about it. The girl just looked at him, confused about the situation.
