The little girl loved her new home she loved her kind new dad. As much as she missed her parents, sisters and Pinocchio she loved her new life and the memory of them was getting distant. Her new father loved her with everything he had. She was given everything she wanted. But after six months something happened. Something changed on her second birthday.

*Bobby's point of view*

I was fast asleep when I heard a noise from downstairs I was automatically awake worried something had happened to my beautiful baby girl. I look at the clock and see it's one in the morning. It's possible that Rufus left early to get here but I doubt it. It's officially my little girls second birthday. Her first one with me or with a family even a small one that I know of at least.

I wait a few minutes but I don't hear anything else. I go towards my little girls room to check on her just incase. Once I'm closer I can hear the muffled cries of my daughter.

"Please no!" I hear her whimper out.

"Be quiet you little brat!" I hear a women's voice it sounds so cold. "Don't even think about it!" She practically growls out and I hear a thud.

"I promise I'll be good just stop please!" I hear my daughter whimper out.

"No you little brat!" My daughter screams and I couldn't take it anymore I hurry into the room to check on my daughter.

My daughter is bruised and bloody. The woman's eyes are pitch black, a knife in her hand and blood on her. I catch my daughter as she runs to me. I hug her close to me and run from the woman that is possessed by a demon.

I hide my little girl making sure she's safe. I grab a knife from the kitchen when I'm attacked. I'm slashed on my arm and chest. I close my eyes as I stab the woman in the chest. More worried about my daughter then the life I may have taken.

I finally grab the phone and go to my daughter. I hold her close to me and make sure she's breathing. Her breath is shallow as I call 911.

"Hello this is 911 what is your emergency?"

"My my,"

"It's okay sir take a breath and try again please."

"I was woken up a little after one in the morning by some noises downstairs I figured my friend that's coming for my daughter's birthday arrived early but a few minutes later I heard a scream from my daughter's room... My my—" I try and stop the tears

"Sir what happened?"

"A woman broke into my house and beat my daughter. She's bleeding and barely breathing." I cry out into the phone

I give the person on the phone the information they need before they ask the dreaded question. "Sir where is the woman?"

"I took my daughter and hid her. I grabbed" I take a breath "I grabbed a knife in the kitchen. She came at me she slashed my arm and chest with a knife."

"Sir what happened?" The voice of the person is soft but firm

I take a breath and just tell them "I closed my eyes and stabbed her."

"Sir the ambulance and police are on their way." The voice says "How is your daughter?"

"Her breathing is very shallow." I hold her tighter "Is she going to be okay?"

"Sir the ambulance is outside. Stay on the phone until you let them in please." I do as asked.

Once I open the door the police ask for the phone. I hand it to them as a paramedic comes and gently tries to take my daughter from me.

"Sir I need to get her hooked up so we know her brain is getting enough air." I let go and try to follow before an officer stops me.

"Sir I need you to show me where you last saw the woman." I look at him then back to my daughter "Sir you will be allowed to follow your daughter with one of the other officers."

I nod and lead them to the kitchen. A female officer comes to get me and takes me out to her car. She opens the door for me and turns on her lights. She asks me to tell her what happened as we rush to the hospital. I tell her everything.

My little girl is asleep in the hospital for a week. There was a lot of damage done to her body. I hired cleaners for the house and hired a decorater to redo my daughter's room as recommended by the therapist. I reached out to a few hunting buddies hoping they may know something.

After I was approved to keep Haisley the adoption agency called to tell me that Haisley was brought in with two little girls who they assumed were her sisters and an older boy who had found them. The older boy had run away. The girls had recently turned one and one of the twin girls was adopted. They thought she'd like to know of her family one day. They had given the family of the other girl that had been adopted the same information.
