Are all my dreams coming true or what? I have just taken a ride in a limo and it was awesome. We had his cousins and other relatives in the limo with us, and they were all around our age. They were all complimenting me and it felt good. Really good...
The limo then finally came to a stop. We had arrived. I stepped out nearly tripping over in my heels and dress, but Harry was holding my hand the whole time. As I looked up I saw the most beautiful reception cottage. Flowers were everywhere bursting from every single corner and so were people. It didn't seem like there were that many people at the Church. Or maybe I wasn't observant enough. One by one the large group are entering the cottage and we soon follow behind.
The inside is even prettier if that is even possible. As I walked in everything went quiet. Everyone turned around and look Harry and me. I started to panic. Am I not accepted? Do I look weird? All these questions are swimming in my mind. We walked over to a table with the same people that were in the Limo with us, so I did feel a bit better. They didn't stare or anything which I was glad about, but I still could hear murmuring.
"Harry, why were all those people staring at us when we walked in?" I whisper in his ear.
He chuckles slightly.
"Because one, you are beautiful and two, they are suprised that I brought along a girl with me since I had been constantly denying that I had a girlfriend."
I stare at him and start to smile.
"So they think I'm your girlfriend?"
He looks down in embarrassment and and quickly answers.
"Yeah they do."
I chuckle a little. He is so cute when he is is embarrassed. We continue to talk to all the people at our table. They are all so funny and just fun to be around. It feels good to be around a new group of people that don't really know you but accept you anyway. I then feel a hand lightly holding my shoulder. I turn around a little startled and I can see the lady holding Harry's shoulder as well.
"Harry I knew that you invited a girl to come with you, but I didn't expect a beautiful woman. Also, you never introduced me to the lovely lady." She says smiling brightly at both Harry and I.
"Umm, well mum this is Clio Perkins." Harry says quietly, looking up at her.
"What an interesting name. Is it a nickname for anything?" She asks, again smiling widely at me.
"Yeah, its short for Cliona, but no one calls me that. Clio is my real and only name that I go by." I say sternly but not trying to sound too rude, its just the name Cliona was my grandma's name.
She had died when I was eight after saving me when I was drowning. We were at the beach and I was caught in a rip. My grandma dived in to save me, she didn't care if she got caught she just wanted me to live. She pushed me out of the rip into the crashing waves that lead me to shore, but she never made it out. Everyone used to call me Cliona, just like her, but after she had passed away I could never be called that again because I felt that I don't don't deserve her beautiful name. I just deserve plain old Clio.
