Welcome to my first holiday writing contest, starting with HALLOWEEN!
It's finally spooky season! We've waited too long . . . so that means it's time for a spooky writing contest! I can't wait to read all of y'all's stories! I'll have some writing prompts because I know even great authors have a hard time coming up with amazing plots in a few minutes. You don't have to use these, but I figured they would be helpful!
I. ───────────── You don't believe in the rumors that say a certain scary book is cursed-and that anyone who reads it will meet their maker by the end of the week. So naturally, you read it. And then things start going wrong. Found on The Write Practice.
II. ───────────── One day, you mysteriously wake up in a dark, haunted house. But there's a catch: other people came with you, and the haunted house isn't the only thing that's haunted.
III. ───────────── Your friend mysteriously goes missing when you and your friends are going trick-or-treating. You had no idea that you were going to get in the same mess.
IV. ───────────── It's late at night, and you hear footsteps in the cellar. You were home alone . . . or so you thought. Found on The Write Practice.
V. ───────────── You wake up on Halloween night, look outside your window, and see your sister sleep-walking away from the house.
