"Are you sure you'll be alright?"

"Yeah, mom, I'm positive,"

My parents are leaving after a short weekend.

"Please take car of yourself okay? We'll see you during Christmas break,"

I watched their car leave on the way to the airport.

I went back inside and got ready for school. Today was the day that I would submit my assignment, and hopefully get a better grade.

I walked out the house in lounge clothes, I wasn't really a fashionista when it came to school. I just dress in what I'm comfortable in.

I drove to school and eventually got there.

I walked to the cafeteria to do work when I heard someone running after me, calling my name.

Alyssa.

"Mae, can we talk," she was out of breath which meant that she was running.

"What?" I wasn't in the mood to speak with her. Since she basically ditched me.

"Mae I'm so sorry for leaving you. I got distracted and I didn't consider how you were. Please forgive me."

"It's fine honestly. I forgive you,"

"So, how'd you get home?"

"I got a rife from someone,"

"Who?" She asked confused.

"No one. Let's go to class,"

We walked into the lecture room and listened to the professor, I honestly wasn't paying attention.

"So, how long have you and Jason been dating"

"About 3 months, but we met a year ago,"

We continued talking and it was time for my next class.

I walked straight to the front and handed her m assignment since I was the only one that had to redo it.

"Now this is what I call perfection. A+ Rigde, now go sit down,"

I smiled and sat down by my desk, I listen music to let time pass.

I met Alyssa after class and we went out to eat.

"So...you and Connor huh?"

I choked on my water a bit at her bold allegation.

"No! Plus we just met," I gave her a side eye.

"I'm just saying, that kiss looked steamy as hell. Anyways, it's Quinn's birthday this weekend, and he's throwing a party, you can so no if you want,"

I thought about it, would I be emotionally stable to go a party this weekend filled with people I don't know?

Yes, maybe.

"No, I'll go. But you can't ditch me this time,"

"I promise," she kissed me on the cheek and I went back home.

I got changed into my outfit and decided to go with an off shoulder crop top with a black miniskirt and knee high boots.

I slicked my hair into a high ponytail.

As soon as Alyssa said she was here, I went down to the car park.

"Hey, are you ready to go?"

She wore a bright pink sleeveless dress that had a heart shaped cut in the middle.

Since it was only the two of us in her car, I sat in the front and we blasted music the whole way.

When we got there, there was flashing lights from inside.
