Beneath The Surface

Chapter 4

I woke up and my whole body hurt. I went into the bathroom and I was horrified when I looked in the mirror.

There's hickeys all over my neck which trailed down to other places.

I'm going to strangle him when he gets up.

I put on a goodie to hide my neck, it seriously looks like I was attacked by an animal.

I went downstairs to get a glass of water. When I went into the kitchen I heard pots and pants clinking.

I tried tiptoeing back up the stairs before I heard someone's voice.

"Lucas? Bud is that you?"

It's probably his dad.

I awkwardly walked into the kitchen and stood in the doorway.

This kitchen was big as my entire apartment, atleast.

"Uh no, I'm Connors friend. Mae Ridge,"

"Oh nice to meet you Mae. Where's Connor?"

"He's sleeping. Sorry to run into you like this, he told me you weren't here last night,"

He looked identical to Connor, just taller and older.

"Oh no don't worry about it, I'm heading out now, please let him know I was here,"

He grabbed his car keys and walked out to the foyer.

"Wait, you're Damian Ridge's daughter right?"

"Yes sir,"

"I knew you looked familiar, I work with your dad. Anyways let me head out also, it's just Andrew, no more of this sir stuff I get alot of it at the office,"

He left and I poured a glass of water for Connor and headed upstairs.

I walked into his room and his bead was already made with the shower on in his bathroom.

I waited for him to come out and I sat on the floor on my phone.

He came out dressed in sweatpants and no shirt. His hair was wet and dripping onto his chest.

"Hey, I was wondering where you were,"

"Well, I went to get water when I saw that you left hickeys on my neck, and to top it all off I met your dad,"

He sat on the floor with me and turned his neck.

"I mean you did it to me too, so I made it fair,"

There was a purple mark on his neck, and to be honest his looked worse than mine.

"Whatever," I rolled my eyes and stood up.

"So, what's the plan for today?"

"We could just hang out here, for the day, unless you want to go back home,"

I thought about it and staying here wouldn't be so bad.

"Okay, but I need to get my clothes,"

I took a shower and wore my clothes from yesterday and we went to my house.

Connor waited in the car since I was just getting the essentials.

I went into my house and stuffed my things into my bag.

I got ready to leave before I went into the bathroom to pee.

My whole day just got ruined when I saw blood on my underwear.

Oh my shit.

I searched my cabinets for tampons but I didn't have any, I went into my back pack and luckily there was a tampon in the front pocket.
