When Aizawa walked to his front door, he was expecting to hear the cries of the green-haired boy and the swears of the blonde telling him to shut up. Something like the first time he had left the boys alone, but instead all he heard was silence as he pressed his ear on the door.

Curious about how the boys did without him, Aizawa tried to catch a sneaky glimpse through the side windows of the door. Since the window wasn't made for a good view Shouta could see Hizashi sitting on the couch but only about half of Izuku's face.

The green-haired boy was watching television, most likely on his second viewing of the Allmight movie. Even from outside Shouta can tell from the way the boy's mouth was partially open and his eyes were unblinking that the boy was engrossed with the film. There were no thoughts currently running through Midoryia's head as he burned every frame of the movie into his memory.

Shouta let out a sigh, the tension falling from his shoulders as he saw that the boys weren't in complete disarray at his absence. If Midoriya was calm then that meant Bakugou had to be too because when one was distressed, chances were the other one was too.

"I'm home!" Aizawa announced as he opened the door, putting on a smile as he entered the house.

"Zawa!" Izuku's voice rang with excitement as he saw that the man had returned from his short time away. The disassociated face the boy held seconds ago reanimated into a wide smile.

"Look what I got for you guys," Aizawa said bending down as the boy ran to give him a hug. The man let out a soft oof as Izuku launched himself in his side.

"Uwah!  Happy meal with the heroes!" Midoryia's voice rose impossibly higher at the sight of the promised food and toys.

"I paid for extra toys," Shouta revealed as Izuku grabbed hold of the bag, eager to see which heroes he got.

As Aizawa got stood back up, he began to worry about the missing young blonde who was normally the first to run at the sight of food. However Yamada's calm smile put him at ease, whatever the reason was, everything is okay.

"Welcome home," Hizashi greeted, sneaking a quick kiss on Shouta's lips as the boy below them was distracted.

"He's right over there, napping," Yamada quickly added as he saw his husband was still worried, pointing at the loveseat where there was a lump of blanket.

"It's a little late for a nap isn't it?" Aizawa questioned, walking over to the boy and uncovering his face. The kid stirred in his sleep for a second but settled as Shouta put a comforting hand on his head, checking for a temperature.

"He didn't want to nap when Izu did, stubborn kid refused to leave the door while you were gone. He fell asleep leaning face first in the window, had to carry the little guy," Hizashi explained why Bakugou was knocked out well after midday.

"Was he crying?" Shouta asked as he saw the boys eyes were puffy, dried tear marks on the side of his eyes.

"In his sleep," Yamada said with a frown, pausing for second before continuing, "I woke him up and tried to cheer him up but he just told me to 'fuck off' then hid under the blanket till he fell asleep again."

"I'm here now, I'm sorry," Shouta whispered as he placed a kiss on the boy's forehead.

Despite the adamant act Bakugou put up about not caring if Aizawa left, the boy's true emotions manifested in his sleep. No matter how much the blonde pushed down his feelings, the unprocessed emotions will find a place to release.

"I only cried one time! Just a bit when you went bye bye but then no more!" Izuku piped up, proud of himself.

Shouta was confused, it was uncharacteristic of Izuku to be the one without tears. With the way the boy had trouble with him leaving in the first place Aizawa figured he would've cried a lot more in his absence.
