I caused world war.
Living in a world where everyone has powers seems like a fantasy... but in reality it's just a nightmare.
My whole life has just been me trying to survive in this cruelty...especially when I met him.
We were just 12 when we first met..
??: Yowako, this is Aizo — he will be your training partner from now
Yowako: Huh? Really?
??: is there a problem?
Yowako: no, I'm just happy I finally got one that's all
??: Well Aizo here has prior experience which I'm sure will be beneficial for both of you
Yowako: good to know!
I'm Yowako by the way, at 12 I had some random awakening that made my will ignite ... I wanted to get stronger. Physically at least. I started training for martial arts lessons which was uncommon in the world of heroes and superpowers but it was useful skill
Yowako: So how old are you?
Aizo looked down at her, his eyes scanning up and down her body as if to measure her, but not in a perverted way.
"Twelve." He said bluntly as he folded his arms, a bored and somewhat irritated look on his face. He didn't look too enthused about being paired up with her...or anyone for that matter, as if training with her was a mere waste of time.
Yowako: whatt!! No way, me too!! You look way older though!
Aizo raised an eyebrow, mildly surprised by the fact that she shared the same age as him. He continued to scrutinize her, taking in each detail meticulously.
"I know." He replied plainly, as if it was obvious.
He didn't make much of an effort to look friendly or welcoming. His expression and stance remained cold and distant, making it clear that he wasn't exactly thrilled about this pairing either.
He wasn't a talkative kid or anything, he was very blunt and rude. I tried my best to make friends with him — it would be awkward being training partners without any interactions. I rambled on and on to him, hoping he would at least engage somewhat but he had no interest in me.
Aizo would only silently listened to her talk, his expression remaining stoic and indifferent. He found her constant attempts at conversation to be bothersome, annoying even, but he didn't protest as he just stood there listening to her endless ramble. He didn't really want to be friends with her...or anyone for that matter. He just wanted to train.
As a kid, he was a prodigy, even now. He was gifted and he knew it. There wasn't a moment when he was decomposed or stressed. He excelled the training drills and won every competitive fights. A sight to behold, a talent like that only came once in a generation ... and the other teachers saw it too.
Best believe, training with him was like hell. I could hold a minute. But I couldn't tell if it was because I was too weak or because he was too strong. I felt bad about myself, seeing him standing before me made me notice how far I was from reaching my goal. I wasn't the best, I wasn't even in the top 10.
