"Was it really necessary to patronize him like that?" Asked Luther as he looked at the man, and he began to sit in a chair.

"Patronize?" Replied Felix with a smug look on his face.

"No, it was simply a test."

"A test of what exactly? If he could handle being call a whore in the presence of all his fellow attendees? If so, I don't quite understand the reason for your so-called 'test'." Asked Luther with a questioning look.

"Why do you care?" Said Felix with a smirk.

"Oh it's nothing, I just deeply care for the well-being of my attendants." Said Luther, giving Felix a big smile.

"You seem to be taking special care of that servant". Muttered Felix.

"What was that?"Asked Luther.

"Nothing," replied Felix.

"Anyways, back to business I have come to invite you to a Ball held by the one and only Alice Claridge the eldest daughter of viscount Claridge."

"Alice Claridge the daughter of the viscount you say, I've been hearing quite a lot of her of late. People say she's truly a beauty among beauties." Said Luther.

"Luther you must come, I believe she's only thrown such an extravagant ball in the hopes of attracting you to come.  As they say, where there's a fine lady there follows her fine lady friends."

"I do not believe anyone has ever said such a thing, but I guess I shall clear my busy schedule to attend this ball."

"Good, the ball is tomorrow at 7:45 in the evening. Now I will excuse myself as I have other business to attend to. Until next time, dear friend."

"Cecilia!" Yelled Luther to the head maid.

"Yes, your lord?" Replied the head maid.

"I am to attend a ball held by lady Alice of Claridge, please prepare a fine suit for tomorrow evening."

"Yes, your lord."

Ah.. and before you leave can you call Ciel into the parlor.

"May I ask why your lordship?"

"Hmm...well I just have to have a little chat with him."

"Yes, your lordship."

                                       ——

KNOCK! KNOCK!

"Come in." Said Luther.

"You asked for me, your lord?" Said Ciel, rolling his eyes.

"Why so formal?" Asked Luther with a smirk.

"What do you want? I am not in the mood to play games." Replied Ciel annoyed.

"Is that because of Felix?"

"You mean that rude bastard who called me a whore? What would make you think I would be mad about being called a whore in front of people I've just met?" Said Ciel sarcastically.

"I'm sorry Ciel, he's a bobby, it's his first nature to observe and test people. I didn't know he was here. I apologize." Said Luther sincerely.

"What are you apologizing for? It's not like he's wrong. I'm a dirty little whore wh—." But before he could finish he was interrupted by Luther.

"Ciel you're not dirty. You're living a proper life now just because some man called you something doesn't make it true."

Ciel stared at the man, Ciels heart seemed to flutter at the heartfelt speech.
