Sameer: Shit!! Her Bouquet!

How could I forget to give it to her? I curse under my breath, frustration bubbling up inside me.

I turned on my heels and rushed back inside the café. The vibrant chatter and clinking of cups faded into the background as I scanned the room for Ishanvi. My heart raced-not just from the sudden panic of forgetting the bouquet, but also from the unexpected emotions that had surged to the surface today. The way she had laughed, blushed, and sipped that smoothie-it all felt charged, and I wasn't sure how to navigate it.

Just as I reached the counter, I caught a glimpse of her through the window, walking away with her head down, engrossed in her phone. A pang of regret shot through me.

"Wait! Ishanvi!" I called, waving my arms frantically.

She turned, surprise written all over her face as she saw me sprinting towards her. "Sameer? What's wrong?"

"Nothing's wrong! I just..." I stumbled over my words, fumbling with the bouquet I had hastily picked out that morning. "I forgot to give you this."

Her eyes widened as I presented the small bouquet of sunflowers, the bright yellow petals a stark contrast against the dull afternoon sky. "For me?" she asked, a hint of disbelief in her voice.

"Of course! It's a peace offering for that terrible coffee," I teased, trying to lighten the mood.

Ishanvi raised an eyebrow, smiling. "But you literally gave me your chocolate smoothie! Isn't that enough?"

"Not quite." I grinned. "I actually brought this for you earlier, but... I kind of forgot when I saw you." I held out the bouquet of sunflowers, my nerves kicking in. "I remembered how much you love these, and thought you'd like them."

Her eyes softened as she looked at the flowers. "Thank you! Now I feel like you know me too well."

"Always have, always will," I replied, my voice softer than before.

A blush crept across her cheeks as she gave me a radiant smile. The joy in her expression was enough to make my heart race.

"I love them! Really, thank you so much!" she beamed, clutching the sunflowers.

"My pleasure," I said, trying to hide how much her reaction meant to me.

Just then, her phone buzzed. "I should get going. My cab's here."

"Right, go ahead."

She waved as she stepped into the cab, and I waved back, probably grinning like a fool. Watching her drive away, my heart felt lighter.

I called my driver and headed out, determined to make the night special. I bought a bunch of sky fireworks, chocolates, and carefully wrapped the gift I'd been planning to give her. And also the one she's not expecting.

Finally, I made my way back to the hotel, the anticipation of what was to come filling me with excitement.

Ishanvi

I settled into the cab, holding the sunflowers Sameer had given me. Their fragrance filled the air, and I couldn't help but smile as I studied each bloom. My thoughts were interrupted by a text from Shruti.

On text:

Shruti: Did you finish your date? I want every single detail!

Ishanvi: It's not a date, Shruti! Stop it! And I'm just a few minutes away from home.

Shruti: Yeah, whatever. But you're telling me everything, no excuses!
