*Somedays Later*

"The Scheme" on October 2nd, Willow, Reese, and Dalia sat around the table. Dalia shook her head, saying no.

Willow, however, had thought about it. Her mom could finally work on herself, and she wouldn't be a burden anymore. Plus, Willow could continue her studies.

"Momma, please," Willow pleaded.

Miss Dalia licked her lips and sighed. She shook her head, then said, "Alright, Willow."

"Thank you, Momma," Willow said, hugging her, as Miss Dalia gave Reese a glare. "Just please protect her."

Willow went into her room. Her bag was already packed. Maybe  , this is a new beginning, Willow thought.

"You sure you wanna come with me? I'm asking you one more time," Reese asked.

Willow shook her head. "Yes, Reese, stop," Willow said, smiling.

"Just making sure," Reese said, a smile creeping on her face as she straddled Willow's lap. They began kissing passionately.

"Willow!" Dalia called as she opened the door. They quickly pulled away.

"I'm going to the store. Y'all want anything?" Dalia asked.

"Yeah, Sour Skittles, please. Momma, don't forget."

"I won't," Dalia said, smiling. "And for you, Reese... oh, I know," she added sarcastically. "A Reese's Pieces chocolate bar?"

"I don't even want anything, Miss Dalia, thanks though," Reese said, trying to contain her laughter.

"Reese's Pieces chocolate bar," Willow whispered in Reese's ear.

"Bruh, stop."

"Oh, so I'm your bro now?" Reese teased.

"Alright," Willow said, shrugging as Reese dragged out, putting a pillow over her head.

A few hours later, Reese got a call from Keon, which she immediately answered.

"Reese, things have changed. Where you at?" Keon asked.

"With Willow. Why?" Reese replied.

"Alright, meet me at 26 North Hood Street. I'ma send you the address. Come right now. Now, Reese," Keon said urgently.

"Alright," Reese said, frantically getting up, feeling her pockets. She gave Willow a kiss on the lips before leaving without saying a word.

Reese arrived at the address Keon had sent her and entered. As soon as she stepped inside, Keon dragged her in further. "Alright, Reese," he said, setting a map down on the table. "The time has changed. Remember, I told you you're gonna be on lookout." Reese nodded, trying to stay focused.

"Alright, this is gonna be some real fast money," Keon continued. "We leave at 12 AM sharp. Miguel is coming around 5:30 this evening, so we got a few hours. We'll get there before him, grab the cash, and get the hell out. No killing, no drama, just quick and clean. He's got about five hundred thousand in that suitcase, flat. You get a hundred thousand, and the rest is split between the others. It's six of us doing this, alright?"

Reese nodded again, but asked, "Why the sudden time change?"

Keon, looking tense, replied, "I just wanna get out of here, Reese."

Reese shook her head, trying to shake the nerves. She sat down at the table and took a drink of vodka. "Alright," she said.
