Hey there! It is my pleasure to bring you another review, and this one is quite short, well, because it's a short story.
This story follows a stuck-up inventor who tries to avoid trouble at all costs. He has made a deal and with a man who would kill if he doesn't get what he wants. Silas needs to find a pilot, but he couldn't find one until he meets "Vance." "He", in his mind thinking it's a man but turns out it's really a young girl, name Kira. She agreed to help carry his cargo to the seller. Although he was hesitant, he still went. Things went left when they had to outrun the Terran, because she didn't want her ship to be to be taken. Their life almost was cut short until, Kira thought fast and got them to safety and to their destination.
"Shadow and Steel, 1-4" Is a science fiction story that adds a lot of adventure and drama. It brings out a lot of realistic situations, yet it had a lot of action that brought these characters to life. The more you read 1-4 the more you understand why Kira is so tough, and why Silas is so stuck-up, not realizing his own faults. It's a great read.
@FHLevin gives the readers into the mind of Silas and Kira. Giving them a story that readers can relate to despite it being science fiction.
