You'll get used to it (A Transformers Prime fanfiction)

Chapter 2

Maelys' pov :

After going out of the classroom, I asked Jack if I could eat lunch with him and his friends. He answered that it would be great, so now we're waiting for Rafael and Miko, I think that's their name.
After some minutes they joined us in front of the cafeteria.

Miko ran fast to greet us while Rafael was walking behind her. I didn't even had the time to say 'hi' that she started asking me so many questions :

-"HII I'm Miko! What's your name? You're new right ? Where do you come from ? I bet you're from England ! Or no, from Spain ! What music do you listen to ? I like metal ! Do you play an instrument ?.."

-"Miko leave her some space, you'll have all the time to ask her these questions" Jack said while interrupting her.

-"It's okay Jack" I said, "I’m flattered that someone is so excited to know me."
Then I started to answer all her questions. "Well Miko my name's Maelys and you're right i'm new and I come from France. The music I listen to is things like Lana del Rey, Crystal castles, Billie Eilish or Tv girl. But sometimes I listen to metal too! You could make me discover new bands haha. And I do play and instrument, the violin."

-"You're soooo cool Mae !! Oops forgot to ask, Can I give you a nickname?"

-"Thank you, your'e really cool too ! And yes ! Mae sounds good to me."

Then, Rafael greeted me too after waiting for me and Miko to finish talking :

-"Hi Maelys, my name's Rafael ! I hope you'll like your new school, if you have any difficulties in terms of grades, I can help you if you want !"

-"Thank you that's so kind !"

-"You can count on him, he's one of the smartest kid I've ever met" said Jack

-"Litteraly ! He can even hack things and all that's sooo cool !" said Miko

-"Thank you guys" Rafael said embarassed by all the compliments.

After introducing ourselves, we entered the cafeteria and served the food on our plates. Today it was chicken and peas. We chose a table and started to eat our food.

-"Soo what are you guys going to do after school ?" I asked "My mom offered me to go eating at the KO fastfood after school, so I wondered if you guys wanted to follow."

-"Yesss ! that would be great !" Answered Miko

-"Huh... actually we have a lot of things to do ! Like helping my mom with... huh, gardening, you remember, right guys ?" Jack said

-"Huhh... Yes ! Absolutlety, we promised to Jack's mom that we will help her with her garden because... Well she doesn't have the time to do it with her job and all.." Rafael said

-"What are you guys talking about ???" Asked Miko

-"Miko. What do you mean, you don't remember ?" Jack said piercing into Miko's eyes as if he wanted to hypnotyse her.

-"What ?... Ohhh riiight, Miss Darby's garden ! How could I forget that.. haha.. Yeah sorry Mae, we can't go with you" said Miko suspiciously

-"But, can't I just help you guys and ask my mom to go eating at KO's another day ?"

-"NO" yelled Jack, the whole cafeteria heard him. "Huh, sorry, I meant no you can't, because my mom doesn't like people she doesn't know to, huh, enter her garden"

-"Umh..okay, I guess we'll do that another time"

I find their reaction strange but I didn't say anything.
After that, the atmosphere was a little awkward, but we still continued talking about different stuff like our hobbies, our favorite movies and even gossip about this bully, Vince, and his group of friends. I don't even know the guy but I already hate him.

We finished eating and returned to class,
Miko and Rafael went to their respective classes, and Jack and I went to our english class.

Time passed and school was finally over.
When I got out of the school, I saw three vehicles, one was a blue motorcycle, the other was a yellow and black muscle car and the last one was a dark green Suv.

'Waw these must be expensive vehicles, I wonder who owns them' I thougth.
And then I saw Miko and Rafael entering the vehicles and Jack hopping on the motorcycle while waving goodbye to me.
I returned the wave and saw them driving away. They were all going in the same direction.

Now I was intrigued, why were they using three different vehicles if they are going to the same place ? Also when we were talking in the cafeteria, they told me that they didn't have a lot of money, well they have enough money to live properly and enjoy life, but not to afford expensive things like that. And the way they reacted at the cafeteria was weird and seemed like a lie. All that seems really strange to me.

I'll have to figure out what's going on.
