The smoke made visibility difficult both in the sky and on the ground, the green forces had arrived a while ago, the black side's dragons were destroying the green soldiers, Criston Cole commanded the usurping king's men, you tried to find Rhaenys through all the smoke without success, you could barely see anything, you could only hear the screams of soldiers being burned. Baela tried to defend the castle from the few men who managed to avoid the dragon fire, Daemon tried to get close to Criston without success but you couldn't find Rhaenys, anxiety grew in your chest thinking that something could have happened to her, Vermithor was on top of a tower watching for any enemy dragons approaching, Meraxes noticed your discomfort and your anxiety and flew even higher, trying to fly over the smoke and then you saw her on the other side of the battlefield, Meleys was burning some soldiers who had dragged from the trees some kind of weapons with large arrows, designed to kill dragons. You tried to fly towards them, to help them, but then the roar of Vermithor caught your attention, and then you saw it, in the distance a huge figure along with a smaller one approached, rising from the heart of the forest, Aemond and Aegon approached you quickly, Vhagar despite her age was an experienced dragon, a dragon of great riders, among them your father and Visenya the conqueror and now that dragon that you had loved so much as a child and that you had ridden countless times with your father, the same dragon that flew over with Laena next to you, was now on another side, a side that was not yours.
You screamed Rhaenys and Daemon's names trying to catch their attention, but both were too distracted with their task, not even Caraxes and Meleys heard your screams, as if your voice could not be heard, as if your voice was nothing more than a whisper. Desperately you tried to fly towards them as quickly as possible, Vhagar was getting dangerously close to Meleys and Rhaenys while Sunfyre headed towards Caraxes. Vhagar lunged at Meleys, grabbing the dragon by the neck and shaking her, Rhaenys trying to hold on tightly to her mount while screaming in pain as if she could feel her dragon's pain, Caraxes fought against Sunfyre easily defeating him, making the usurping king fall along with his dragon. Meraxes' jaws collided with Vhagar's side, trying to make her release Meleys, desperate you jumped from your dragon to Vhagar, Aemond was waiting for you with his sword drawn ready to receive your sword.
-Well dear aunt, looks like I had my vengeance.
-I'm going to kill you for that Aemond.
But as you were going to approach him you saw Vhagar releasing Meleys neck she was so injured and so tired that she couldn't keep flying and began to fall into the void. Desperate, you dropped your sword and jumped towards Meleys, desperate to reach Rhaenys. The last thing you saw was your beloved wife and her dragon crashing into the ground and you following their fate.
And then, you woke up, covered in your own sweat, your heartbeat was spiking you looked at your surroundings seeing you were on your room and then you felt Rhaenys, she was asleep next to you with her arm covering your torso, it was just a nightmare but it felt very real, you turned to her, kissing her forehead and hugging her tightly.
-Are you okay my love?
-I'm sorry I woke you up, it was only a bad dream, go back to sleep.
-Nothing will happen to me-. she said while kissing your neck.
Oh, how much she knew you.
-It felt real, and I watched you die Rhaenys.
-Tell me about it.
-We were winning but then Aegon and Aemond appeared out of nowhere and Vhagar caught Meleys and then you fell to the ground.
-I will not die Aeriana.
-How do you know that?
-Because you will be there and we will protect each other, I'm more concerned with Baela's safety.
-I'm sure Aemond and Aegon will be there Rhaenys, we have to prepare and be more cautious.
-And we will but you have to calm down love, you're too anxious, too preoccupied, everything will be alright.
-I just have a bad feeling Rhaenys.
-Go back to sleep my love, I will guard your dreams.
She looked at you caressing your face lightly, kissing your lips softly.
You tried to go back to sleep but you couldn't too focused on thinking about the dream, what if the dream was a premonition, you never had that kind of dreams, it was to vivid for it to be a dream, it couldn't be just a nightmare it felt real to you.
