Spending time outside of a crisis was something that the entire team needed. Sure, the members of Young Titans were friends outside of the group and would regularly hang out individually, but they didn't usually meet up altogether at once.

Lyta's mother, Donna, would tell her about the outings the Teen Titans had and how they would strengthen relationships with the team. She knew that was something that she wanted to do with her team as well. Apparently, it was something the rest of her teammates wanted too, given how everyone jumped at the opportunity to join in.

Except Shane Todd, but he was always like that when it came to her ideas.

"Hey Lyta."

Lyta turned toward the voice, her red pigtails bouncing on her shoulders. Lucas West, dressed in his dad's original Kid Flash suit, grabbed a cob of corn off of one of the stalks.

"Watch. This."

In a flash of yellow and red, he completely devoured the corn, sending kernels flying everywhere. She covered her face by holding out her hands, blocking the debris. Lyta, her mom, and her half-sister Lian spent hours working on her face paint so she could look like Starfire, and she was not about to let him ruin their hard work.

Lucas stopped, the cob completely bare and his orange-red hair somehow even messier than it was before. A single kernel was stuck on his chin that refused to move, even when he smirked.

"You're disgusting," Tsunami, dressed as her father Tempest, said with an eye roll.

Meredith, Lucas's older sister who showed up dressed as Raven, nodded in agreement. She shook kernels off of her costume, her nose wrinkled in disgust. "Do you even know how old that is? It's been sitting there for a while."

Lyta let out a little laugh as the three argued and looked around at the entire group. Shane, dressed as a vampire version of Jericho, talked to Treasure Beecher-Duncan, who was wearing a Wonder Woman costume, about the ethics of the death penalty or something? She wasn't one-hundred percent sure what was going on there.

Lian Harper, Lyta's sister, texted someone on her phone. Out of everyone there, she thought her sister's costume was the most impressive. Rather than going with the theme of Titans heroes like the rest of the group, Lian had dressed up as the human form of a cáo chín đuôi, a Vietnamese nine tailed fox. She did her makeup herself and sewed her own costume, something Lyta still struggled to do.

It was obvious her older sister was the coolest one here. Then again, her sister was usually the coolest one anywhere.

"Anyone know where Rickey is?" M'att M'orzz, the last member of the team asked.

She had honestly forgotten he was there. A common occurrence when it came to that teammate, she hated to admit. He was shy, but had a huge temper, pretty much the exact opposite of his older sister M'gann.

"He said he had to go home," Lyta answered, somewhat slow so he would catch every word. She resisted the urge to add the word "remember" at the end. "He had to watch his younger siblings while his parents went out."

M'att's green cheeks got a slightly red tint to them. "I know that," he said through gritted teeth. "But his car is still parked here."

Lian glanced up at her phone and moved towards the two, still texting with one hand.

"What's going on?" she asked.

"Rickey's car is still here," Lyta answered. "He's probably just in the bathroom still."

Lian pursed her lips together and put her phone in a pocket somewhere in her costume. "Hey Lucas? Can you go check the bathroom really quick?"

Lucas didn't notice she was talking to him. He continued to argue with Meredith and Tsunami.
