When Bailey rolled over to find Chrissy curled up in bed, he was startled awake by the noise of machinery all over the house. With a faint murmur, he gently rose from his bed. He didn't touch booze, yet for some reason he had a small head.

"What time is it?" Chrissy moaned and turned to face him as she slowly got out of bed.

Bailey let out a quiet sigh and turned to face the clock. "5:00, unfortunately, we have school soon." The blonde curled back into a ball at his words.

Bailey rose from his bed and pulled open his curtains, taking in the messy, unkempt garden that was the result of all the work going on nearby. He simply wants to repair it and construct a small greenhouse so he can take care of his own garden.

"Well, Dean or Steve, which one will you choose?" Chrissy turned to face him and inquired. Bailey instantly spun around, a look of panic spreading across his face.

"What do you mean?" The girl merely looked at him as he cautiously asked. When he asks dumb questions, he always gets that look.

"Bailey, did you notice how Dean was staring at you last night? Steve Harrington also has a way of making you melt whenever he looks at you."As she brushed a hand through her hair, Chrissy spoke.

"Steve Harrington is definitely not coming my way anytime soon, and Dean is just a stranger I met at a party." He let out a sigh.

"Please, there's no doubt that Dean is looking for something from you."

"All right, enough of last night." There was a little smile on his face as he shook his head. "I'll let you get dressed." He proceeded to his room's entrance and exited, shutting the door behind him. Ensuring Chrissy had adequate privacy

The thought of Steve Harrington saving him that time at the wheeling home was as vivid as day as the recollection of Dean grinning at him, yet Bailey felt the slightest tension between the two as he leant against his door. He was bewildered, even lost. Steve did nothing, but Dean demonstrated something. However, why would he desire the individual who has denied him

"How are all of you feeling?" Bailey approached Nancy and Jonathan's location and whispered

"How are all of you feeling?" Bailey approached Nancy and Jonathan's location and whispered. Nancy had a distressed expression.

"Awful." While attempting to console the girl, Jonathan only gazed at her, Nancy retorted. "So, he asked you to take me home?"

Jonathan glanced down at his sandwich and nodded. "Yeah, he was upset. I mean, he was...he was really upset." Jonathan answered.

Nancy looked at the floor and felt terribly uneasy. Bailey was in a similar situation. "But he was still worried about you."

Jonathan moved forward a little to give the girl additional consolation. "You need to cut yourself some slack, okay? People say stupid things when they're wasted. Things they don't mean."

Bailey recalled his meeting with Dean and the way the boy was leaning against the wall, staring at him and conversing with him. Was that the same thing? Was it Dean's inebriated thoughts speaking for him, or did he genuinely wish to speak to him?

"Yeah, but that's the thing." When Nancy spoke, it seemed as though she may burst at any second. "What if I didn't mean it? All this time, I've been trying so hard to pretend like everything's fine, but it's not." She looked down at her lap. "I..I feel like there's this...I don't know, like this..."

"Like there's this weight you're carrying around with you." When Jonathan completed the sentence, Bailey felt as though his heart had been stabbed. lugging around that much extra weight just to have a feeling something. "I feel it too."

"Yeah, but it's different for you." She spoke. "Will came home."

"Yeah, he did....But he's not the same." Jonathan responded hesitantly. "I try to be there for him, you know, to help him, but... I don't know. I mean, maybe... maybe things just can't go back to the way they were."

"Doesn't that make you mad?" Nancy Inquired.

"Mad?" Jonathan responded curiously.

"Yeah, that those...those people who did this, who ruined so many lives, they just get away with it." Nancy gave a sour response, and Bailey could see she was thinking about Barb.

"The people responsible for this...they're dead."

When there was silence, Bailey turned to face Steve, who was staring at him as he looked around the campus. Why the youngster was staring at him instead of Nancy or Jonathan baffled him. He turned around slowly again. "I'll see you guys around; Chrissy is waiting for me, so I'm going to go." Excusing himself, he began to leave.  wondering what the hell has happened to Steve Harrington.
