The beginning; it all started with a dream

The story of Adam and Eve is about humanity's downfall. How the first two humans disobeyed God and ate from the Tree of Knowledge. Where Eve, the wife of Adam, is tempted by the serpent, to eat of the fruit of the tree of knowledge even though she knows that is not to do so.

The Bible states how the serpent whispered to Eve that she would be like God; knowing Good and Evil. The serpent, controlled by Lucifer; the fallen Angel; tempted Eve and succeeded. In the story, Eve had offered up the fruit to her husband Adam for them to both share the fruit. Both were banished from Eden, and from then on, Man and Woman have been at odds. From the very beginning, Adam was to be in charge of Eve, but after the fall, Women have believed themselves to be superior to men.

Why this is? Me, as a woman couldn't say, I personally have been treated inferior compared to others; no matter what is between their legs. It's the 2020s; I'm in my thirties. Never married, but I watch so many women who treat men like garbage... the men are treated as nothing more than ATMs, and other times just a temporary meal ticket.

I doubt this was what was originally intended for man and woman, but how would I know when I don't even know what it feels to be in love. Some of these couples are all over each other. But anyone can put on a facade.

Was Adam and Eve a love story? My take of the original is that the Devil wanted to ruin God's perfect creation by taking away Humanity's connection to God, and then slowly ravage the earth. One perfect creation at a time; by using us humans as his soldiers. It shows with how humans march on in wars, desecrate beautiful landscapes and build ugly architecture. We have tilled lands until there is no longer any fertile soil.

At least that was what I was taught, by the Bible and biblical cartoons that tell the story of the Bible. Not so much veggie-tales, but more "superbook" (look it up: SuperBook on YouTube.) sure it's for young children, but the stories help me understand better than reading the actual Bible itself.

Just like the tv show Ben 10 omniverse; apparently there are a multitude of universes. Just didn't realize I'd capture the "heart" of the first man, from the universe where he didn't eat the forbidden fruit. How I captured his heart?

I woke up in the garden of Eden

I woke up in the garden of Eden... I thought the whole thing was a dream. Getting up from my spot I hear two people arguing; a man and a woman. The long haired blonde exclaiming she has no feelings for him and that she will not submit to him. The man retorts is her sudden defiant behavior due to him? She turns away and says she'll not dignify him with an answer and leaves.

The man stands there, dumbfounded. Poor guy, but by her appearance alone; she looks like one of those stuck up bitches. Probably entitled too, thinks she can get away with everything and that she deserves the world on a golden platter. He's probably better off without someone like her. He falls to his knees, clenching his fists... he looks like he's trying not to cry.

Slowly walking over to him, a twig snapped under my foot, twisting his head around, our eyes meet for the first time. His bright light brown eyes stare at me for what feels like an eternity. "Are you okay?" I ask.

"Ye-yeah... who are you? Did God send you to be my new companion?" He asked, the look of hope on his features.

My eyes widened, "I'm (y/n), um no I just woke up here... why would God send me to be your new companion?"

"Oh," his face saddened, "my previous companion Lilith has forsakened her purpose as my companion and chose to be with the Angel Lucifer instead. I was hoping God had already sent me someone else who would be my wife and companion."

"So that means you're Adam, the first Man."

"Yes, that's correct."

"This is a weird dream."  I muttered to myself. "Well I'm not your companion that God has given you, but I can keep you company until you are given a new wife at least or until it's time for me to leave."

His face brightened, "i would appreciate that very much."

Adam showed me around the garden, the various fruits, flowers, plants, and animals. Finally got the chance to pet a tiger.

Adam took me to his favorite spot to look at the stars; "do you mind if I ask you something?"

"Sure, go ahead."

"What did you mean by leave? Where are you going?" He asked.

"I'm just not from here."

"Where are you from?" He gazed at me.

"I'm from... here and not here."

He furrowed his eyebrows, "that doesn't make sense, how can you be from here, but not here?"

"I can't really tell you. Just like you're not supposed to eat the fruit, you're not supposed to know."

He sighed, "God told me not to eat the fruit, but what does the fruit have to do with knowing where you're from."

"It's best you don't know where I'm from, because the knowledge of where I'm from is just as evil as the very fruit you are not to eat."

His eyes widened at that, "then how are you here?"

"I don't know. I just woke up here, but I will say it's been great having the chance to see this beautiful place and meeting you." I smiled.

His features softened. "Well, wherever that evil place is, hopefully you won't have to go back there. Maybe you'll get to stay here. I would be happy if you stayed here with me." He smiled warmly.

"I'd like that, I would like that very much." I smiled back. My eyes slowly became heavy, I fell asleep on his chest. His arms wrapped around me protectively.

I felt at peace until the buzzing of my phone's alarm. The alarm had been going off for about an hour. So much for a nice dream. Checking my phone, "FU*CK!!! I'm late for work!"
