At a movie theater somewhere deep in the city. The movie is about alien creatures and whatnot.
2 kids are sitting together eating popcorn.
Almost no one else is in the theater, when a loud boom came from the screen and shocked one of the kids.

"Is it done?!" He shook.
"It's just creatures. Don't be alarmed. They're not real." She said.
"How do you know, you're literally friends with a dragon!" He yelled.
She put her hand around his mouth.
"Shut up. No one can know that Rudi!" She whispered.
"I'm sorry." He apologized, though it was muffled she could still understand him.
"I'm sorry Taylin, you know I don't pay attention to what I say, or what I do." He chuckled.

Taylin chuckled back and ruffled up his hair.
She walked out when the movie ended and Rudi followed her.
They walked outside and it was freezing, again.
Rudi was shivering but Taylin wasn't. Taylin looked to her left and saw a store with cute little creature dragon things.
She adored dragons, while Rudi on the other hand. He's still traumatized from Sparky that one day.
Rudi always has a hunch that Taylin isn't okay, whenever she gets emotional like maybe being too happy, or too mad. She gives off some bad energy, not the "Oh shit gotta skidadle!" Bad energy but the one that a villain gives off.

Rudi smiled and transformed into one of the dragon things and flew over to Taylin.
Taylin smiled back and pet him on the head like a dog.
They walked back home but of course not the front door.
They climbed on top to the second floor and knocked on Ashley's window.
Ashley ran over but wasn't exactly thrilled.

"I have been covering for your guy's asses for too long! I'm sick of it! Rudi, you get in trouble for once! I understand I am a good sister but still! This is outrageous!" Ashley complained.
"We're sorry Ashley, we didn't realize you were getting in trouble." Rudi apologized.
"Ugh, whatever." Ashley pushed aside.
"Just, you gotta tell them soon. They'll find out anyway.".
Rudi looked at Taylin who was clearly guilty.
Rudi softly pushed her, "Hey, cheer up. Come on, let's get changed.".

Taylin smiled and walked down to her room.
Taylin had to be quiet and invisible crossing the sight of the living room which her parents were in.
Taylin walked in and quietly shut the door.
She closed her eyes while turning around and took a deep breath.
When she let go she opened her eyes and was shocked.
Her parents were right there tapping their feet.

"And where do you go?" Hailey asked.
"Uh just, you know. Out in the back, looking at uh. Snails." She picked up a toy snail.
Hailey smacked it out of her hand and got close.
"I know where you were." Hailey growled.
"You. We're at the dragon shop looking at those things." She said.
Taylin let go of her breath.
"How many times have we told you that you can't get out! It's too dangerous!" She said.
"Ugh, you cage me in like a dog all the time. Just let me be free for once!" Taylin argued.
"Don't you see all the dangers out there?! You could get hurt, permanently injured. Or worse! Dead." Aster said.
"Who says I'm not already permanently damaged. And, how am I gonna learn those things if I don't experience them!?" She yelled.
Hailey and Aster were shook.
Hailey took a deep breath and sat down next to her.
"That power is not a curse, bug." Hailey grabbed Taylin's wrist.
She followed the veins with her index finger "I know how it feels to, not belong. But, I'm protecting you from the city. Do you want to be taken away?" She asked.
Taylin took her arm back and ignored her.
Hailey sighed and took Aster and walked out.

Taylin laid down on her bed and stared at the ceiling.

I keep remembering this, prophecy.

Seek those who shall be found.
But listen for The Sound.
If all goes wrong
So will The Strong
Beware those who are not who they seem.
They won't turn out to be on the same team.
Use the gift you contain
And hopefully The Beast will be maintained.
