Fatal Impact: The Monarch

Chapter Two

"The Chrysalis?" She asked.
"It's where this stupid organization comes together to try and find the Monarch power or whatever." The girl said.
"It's the Power of The Monarch." The guy corrected.
"Mind Rose. She can be a little, difficult sometimes." He said.
"I'm Zuba by the way!" He held his hand out for a hand shake.
Taylin pushed his hand aside "I'm not sure if I can trust you. Why are you looking for the Power of The Monarch?" Taylin asked.
"It's the only thing that can stop the Forest Killer." Zuba said.
"Forest Killer?".
He nodded and showed a picture.
"The Forest Killer is this weird creature. He is very old but powerful and can take someone's power and steal it for himself. He looks like an old stash of bones and wears a deer skull mask.".
Taylin shot up.
"I remember seeing a creature like that! I think he took my dragon away." Taylin looked down.
"Also, what is the Power of The Monarch?" Taylin asked.
"Were you kept locked away in a house?" Rose asked rudely.
"Yes, I actually was kept away from basically anything." Taylin responded.
Rose was shocked.
"The Power of The Monarch is this strange power found only in a specific pool of glowing blue water. If someone touches it they are cursed for life." Zuba said. Taylin touches her wrist.
"But it is very useful. It's not a bad power. Many of the greatest heroes had this power. The only problem is that it can contain a terrible side effect. Sometimes it's minor but other times it's major.
Ranging from memory loss to maybe even death!". Taylin looked frightened.
"Don't worry. If we find someone who has this we will help them. No one should carry that burden.".
"What happens if someone can control it well?" Taylin asked.
"Then they are in danger. Being in full control of your power is one way to bring the Monarch out. It's a terrible beast that can mimic any form of creature and is known for its incredible strength." Zuba said.
"What happens if this creature, erm I mean. The Monarch, what happens if it escapes?" Taylin asked.
Zuba sighed.
"We call this event a Fatal Impact. The Monarch will destroy anything and eat all the power. If it isn't stopped soon enough then it can destroy the world. The only way to stop it is to kill the host. That's why I created this organization. It's so we can prevent that and protect the world.".
Taylin looked at her wrist and rubbed it.

"Anyways, you're gonna be a hero a while until that leg is rested so. Sit tight and get comfortable here." Zuba said.
Taylin scoffed and rolled over to face the wall of the couch.
She quickly fell asleep after that.

Ashley woke up to being jump scared.
She calmed her breathing and examined the room.
She saw a necklace by the door.
She looked closer and saw everyone in their own crystal.
Z, Yeva, Aster, Hailey, Daisy, Alex, and Sparky.
She started to freak out and tried to find her brother.
How did he get the rest of them? Weren't they sent to prison? They most likely broke them out and captured them.

She heard a loud thud and a zap from the other side of the door.
She heard a yelp of pain and a lot of shouting. It was muffled but was sorta understandable "I'm getting tired of you lying! You better tell us that . . . . . . Or else kid!" Mr. Wolfe threw Rudi into the room.
Ashley ran over to check on him.
"Are you okay?!". Rudi gave a thumbs up but kept coughing afterwards.
He eventually coughed up some blood.
Ashley was so concerned.
"What the hell did they do to you?!".
Rudi caught his breath.
"I can't leak that information. Or else." Rudi showed her his wrist.
It has a certain symbol on it.
It had a monarch butterfly symbol but looked corrupted.
It was completely black and looked evil.
"What is this?" She asked herself.

"Wakey wakey!" Zuba said.
Taylin jumped and accidentally punched Zuba in the face.
"Oh my gosh, I am so sorry!" She apologized.
Zuba was dazed.
"It's okay!" He said weakly.
Rose was guffawing so loud.
"Don't apologize, he deserves that!" She was still laughing so hard.
Zuba gave a dirty look at her which shut her up.
"I may be weak but my power is the reason why I'm the leader of this organization! What do you have to say Rose?" Zuba yelled.
"Yes, sorry boss." Rose apologized.
Taylin was scared.
"Don't be scared. I only use my power when I'm super angry, which I'm almost never angry." Zuba smiled.
"How long will my leg take to heal? I kinda need to save my friends and family." Taylin asked.
"Who do you need to save your friends and family from?" Zuba asked.
"From this psycho named Mr. Wolfe." Taylin scoffed.
"Your leg seems to heal quickly, maybe you have a power that can heal you quickly?" Zuba asked.
Taylin needed to come up with a lie.
"Uh, I uh. I erm. I don't have a power?" She said.
Rose was shocked.
"You don't have a power?! How is this possible?!" Zuba asked.
