(PAUSED) The Tales of Logan and Kenneth

🐉Chapter 2 - Jade

No one's POV:

Kenneth had just woken up. He had been in his pajamas since it was the weekend. He was reading a book called "Astronomy Loop" beside the window. As he was reading, he was interrupted by Logan calling for him.

💙 - "Hey, Ken! Can I hang out at your house right now?!" Logan screamed as he waved at him.

❤️ - "Sure, if that's okay with my mom. Wait there..." Kenneth went downstairs to ask his mom.

❤️ - "Hey, mom?" He approaches her.

"Yes, hun? Nathalia asks.

❤️ - "Can I hang out with Logan? I don't have practice today."

"Sure. But, come home when it's lunch or dinner, alright?"

❤️ - "Okay. Bye, Mom!" Kenneth replies as he grabs his small bag and leaves.

Kenneth goes out and sees Logan. He smiles at him and goes to him.

💙 - "So, where you want to go?"

❤️ - "I don't know. The park, maybe? And when's the dance?"

💙 - "Oh, it's after dinner..."

❤️ - "Oh. Uhm, I can't go. Sorry..."

💙 - "Maybe you should sneak out..."

❤️ - "I CAN'T DO THAT!! I don't to upset my mom...Maybe I'll just ask her."

💙 - "Oh, c'mon, it's going to be fine. Besides, it's your first time..."

❤️ - "Okay, okay, fine. But, I'm asking my mom..."

💙 - "Whatever floats your boat. C'mon, let's go..."

The two boys walked to the park. Flowers and grass glistened in the sun, and trees provided shade for a few people. Logan found a ladybug on his nose, and Kenneth chuckled softly. They continued walking and observed townspeople having picnics, playing, hanging out with their pets, and more. As they walked, Kenneth noticed a familiar face.

Jade's POV:

Hey, the name's Jade. I've been Kenneth's childhood friend since grade 3. We've been the best of friends until he had to Yohelgham. I recently moved here with my parent's permission and I haven't seen him yet. Maybe he's in another high school. I was at the park, just walking, when I saw him again.

💚 - "Kenneth?"

❤️ - "Jade...?"

💚 - "Ken!!" I said as I ran over to him.

❤️ - "Jade!" He said as he ran over to me as well.

We hugged tightly and tears fell in my eyes.

❤️ - "H-how are you here?"

💚 - "I just moved here a few weeks ago...So, how's senior high?"

❤️ - "Well, it just started. How about you?"

💚 - "It's doing great. Prestige Prep is ok, but the bathrooms are disgusting..."

💙 - "So...Are you going introduce me?"

❤️ - "Oh, right, sorry. So, Jade, meet Logan, my friend from my neighborhood. And Logan,   meet Jade, my friend from my hometown..."

💙 - "So, you know him more than me, huh?" He said with a hint of jealousy. 

💚 - "Oh, yeah. Been friends since third grade." She says sarcastically due to the fact she noticed his jealousy.

💙 - "Ugh, this girl is the worst! Why does she know him more than me?!" Logan says in his mind as he glares at her.

💚 - "Why is he staring at me like that?! Doesn't he know that I'm Ken's best friend?!"  I glare back.

Kenneth looks at us back and forth and says:

❤️ - "Hey, guys, are you two okay?"

💙 & 💚- "Yeah, we're fine..." They both said angrily.

❤️ - "Okay... So, Jade, do you want to come with us? Me and Logan are hanging out today..."

💚 - "Sure. As long as he doesn't come..." Jade mutters the last part.

❤️ - "What was that?"

💚 - "Uh, I mean- as long as he can come! Right, Logan?"

💙 - "Yeah, green b!tch..."

💚 - "What did you say, blue sh!t?"

❤️ - "Okay, that's enough swearing for a chapter. Let's just hang out, alright?"

💙 & 💚 - "Ugh..." The two angrily glare at each other.

❤️ - "I think I'm going to hate this day..."

-----MONTAGE-----

The three were at a food truck rally and the two were having their mini food fight. Suddenly, Logan hits Jade with some ketchup.

 💚 - "Oh, it is on..."

The two were starting to throw food and sauces at each other.

❤️ - "Oh boy..."

The three went to a carnival and were trying to impress Ken by trying to hit the most cans. Logan hitted all of the cans on his lane, but Jade hit Ken's and her cans at just one throw, which Logan jealous.

Lastly, the three were at the Phinx Mall and the two were buying the most expensive stuff they could find. Kenneth tried to hold all of the bags full of expensive stuff, but fell down.

❤️‍ - "Okay, why are you two doing this? It's been three hours of non stop fighting over me!"

💚 - "Look, this blue boy was trying to steal you from me."

💙 - "Nuh uh! You were trying to stealing him from me!"

❤️ - "Enough! Guys, I like you two equally. You don't need to compete for my friendship. You two are my best friends that I can't live without... Can we just end this with a group hug? "

💚 - "Group hug?"

💙 - "Group hug..." Suddenly, Logan hugs them tightly.

💚 - "I-I think you broke something..."

The two boys laugh and Jade joins in. After apologizing, Jade had to go. Logan and Kenneth said their goodbyes and left as well. Logan and Kenneth were walking to his house and when they got there, they also said bye.

❤️ - "Bye, Logan..."

💙 - "Bye, Kenny. See you later..." Logan said as he leaves.

❤️ - "Yeah, see you later..."
