Author POV
As they walked towards their respective cabins, Rehan couldn't help but steal glances at Prerna who was going towards her cabin, captivated by her elegance and grace.

He couldn't believe how beautifully time had sculpted her. The same fiery spirit that had driven her to outdo him in academics once a time, now made him wonder if their past rivalry still simmered.

Their conversation flowed effortlessly, like no time had passed since their high school days. Yet, Rehan sensed an undercurrent of tension, a spark that went beyond their friendly rivalry.

Rehan entered into Parth's cabin, his expression serious, "Parth, what's going on? You said it was urgent."

Parth, seated behind his desk, gestured for Rehan to take his seat, "Rehan, I appreciate you coming. I have a situation that requires your expertise."

Rehan's eyes narrowed, "What kind of situation?"

Parth hesitated before speaking, "My father's neighbour, Mr. Singh's been experiencing severe chest pains, shortness of breath, and fatigue. My father's worried since they are close friends."

Rehan's expression turned serious, "Has he seen a doctor?"
"Yes, locally but the diagnosis is unclear. My father wants a second opinion from someone he trusts. That's where you come in , Rehan" Parth exclaimed. He handed Rehan a folder, "Review this. It's Mr. Singh's medical record."

Rehan took the folder, scanning it's contents.

"Confidential Medical Records

Rehan's eyes narrowed, focusing on the symptoms, "I'll review everything and provide my assessment."

Parth nodded, "Thank You, Rehan. I appreciate your discretion."
The conversation concluded, Rehan exited Parth's office, lost in thought.

Rehan walked back to his office, which is located within the prestigious City-View Hospital, where he works as a cardiologist. Specifically, his office is on the third floor of the hospital's main building, overlooking the city's skyline.

As he studied the ECG results, Rehan's concern grew. The symptoms and test results hinted at a potentially life-threatening condition. He made a mental note to order further tests.

Suddenly, Rehan thought it would be beneficial to assess Mr. Singh's condition in person. He decided to pay a visit to Mr. Singh's house.

Rehan grabbed his medical bag and headed out of his house. He informed his assistant Avni, "I'll be visiting a patient. Hold my calls."

He stepped into his car and navigated through the afternoon traffic, lost in thought about Mr. Singh's condition.

Upon arrival, Rehan noticed the warm glow of the Singh residence. He took a deep breath, composed himself, and rang the doorbell.

The door opened, revealing Mrs. Singh, "Dr. Rehan, thank you for coming."
Rehan offered a reassuring smile, "Of course, Mrs. Singh. I'm here to help your husband."

As Rehan entered the Singh's residence, his eyes scanned the cozy living room. That's when he saw it - a stunning family portrait dominating the wall.

A giant picture of Prerna and her sister Kiara with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Singh, beamed with warmness and happiness.
Rehan's gaze locked onto the frame, his footsteps slowed.
