The anticipation hung heavy in the air as Shubman drove through the quieter streets of Mumbai, making his way to the private café where he and Ishan had planned to meet. His heart raced a little faster with every passing minute. He hadn’t seen Ishan in person for a while, and the thought of spending the day with him filled him with excitement and a nervous energy that he couldn’t quite shake off.
Arriving at the café, Shubman stepped out of his car, taking a deep breath. He scanned the area, his eyes lighting up when he spotted Ishan walking towards him. Ishan looked effortlessly stunning in a simple white hoodie, hands tucked casually into his pockets, the soft sunlight making him glow. His messy hair and relaxed demeanor gave him an irresistible charm, making Shubman’s heart skip a beat.
Ishan smiled brightly as he approached, his eyes crinkling with joy. “Hey,” he greeted Shubman, his voice soft yet warm.
“Hey,” Shubman replied, trying to steady his heartbeat. “You look... good.”
Ishan chuckled, slightly shy, “Thanks... you too.”
They found a quiet, secluded table in the back corner of the café, shielded from prying eyes. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the quiet hum of conversations created a cozy atmosphere. As they sat down, the two of them immediately fell into an easy rhythm, talking about everything—from cricket and films to their lives outside the limelight.
Ishan leaned back in his chair, sipping on his coffee. “You know, I never thought you’d actually watch *Aashiqui 2*,” he teased, a playful glint in his eyes.
Shubman shrugged, smiling, “I had to see it... and you were incredible, Ishan. You really embodied that role. That ending scene...” He paused, his voice softening as he remembered. “It really got to me.”
Ishan’s smile faltered slightly, and he looked away for a moment. “That scene was hard to shoot. Rahul’s journey is so tragic... I’m glad it came across well.”
Shubman leaned in slightly, his voice filled with sincerity. “It did. You made everyone feel it. I’ve never seen you so serious, and honestly, it made me proud of you.”
Ishan blushed faintly, lowering his gaze. “Thank you... that means a lot.”
They continued chatting, their conversation flowing easily, the occasional laugh filling the space between them. They shared stories, joked about their teammates, and found themselves lost in each other’s company. Ishan’s laughter was infectious, his eyes sparkling every time he spoke, and Shubman couldn’t help but be drawn to him more and more.
As the hours passed and the café began to quiet down, Shubman leaned forward with a mischievous glint in his eyes. “Are you free for the rest of the day?” he asked, his tone casual but with a hint of something more.
Ishan raised an eyebrow, intrigued. “Yeah, I am. Why?”
Shubman smiled, a plan already forming in his mind. “Come with me. There’s something I want to show you.”
Curious, Ishan nodded. “Okay, but where are we going?”
Shubman grinned, standing up and offering his hand. “It’s a surprise. Trust me.”
Ishan took Shubman’s hand, letting himself be led out of the café and into the car. As they drove through the city, Ishan kept glancing over at Shubman, trying to guess where they were heading, but Shubman remained tight-lipped, only offering a teasing smile.
After a while, they began climbing a hill on the outskirts of Mumbai. The cityscape was slowly replaced by the tranquility of nature, and soon, they arrived at a spot that overlooked a breathtaking view.
