{Reyansh POV}
I watched her smile drop as soon as she saw me staring. Her lashes curled downward, and her grip on the spoon tightened as she continued eating quietly. I bored my eyes into her figure, barely touching my own food.
Is she genuinely innocent or just pretending? That day, she had collided with me at the airport, landing in my arms. Now, she was in my personal space, within the sanctum of my home, where I allowed no strangers.
Her audacity knew no bounds. Was this a mere coincidence, or did she have a deep-seated plan? Whatever the truth, my blood boiled at the way my family welcomed her with open arms, treating her as if she had lived here for years.
And this Ayansh will be dealing with me later for sure,
Finishing my lunch, I rose from my seat.
"Alright, I'm heading to work." My voice remained calm and calculated.
"Reyansh, why are you leaving now? Reporters are still outside," Daadi asked, concern etching her voice.
"Daadi, nuisances come and go, but my work is more important," I replied, my eyes locking onto Uvani's who tug on her lip gazing down her plate.
The real nuisance was her.
"Goodbye, everyone," I said, walking out.
As I reached the entrance, Khanna opened the car door. "Sir, here."
"Khanna, I'll drive myself to the company. You stay here and supervise everything."
"But, sir—"
"I want my family secure." My voice remained calm, but firm.
As I took the keys from Khanna, our eyes met in silent understanding.
"Khanna, also keep a close eye on that girl... Uvani..." Her name felt weirdly strange on my lips.
Khanna nodded, and I slipped into the driver's seat.
The reporters swarmed outside as I pulled out of the villa.
As I reached the company parking, I straightened up and headed inside, nodding to the greetings of the staff. I strode to the elevator, going straight to the 75th floor where my private office and headquarters were located. The hustle and bustle of the office quiet down and employees greeted me politely which i didn't put much attention to, and I gave a curt nod, striding to my office.
I reached my assistant's station first.
"Kiran," I called out, my voice calm yet authoritative.
"Hmmm?... I-I mean, good Afternoon, boss," he stammered, quickly standing up from making a pyramid of files.
I frowned, staring at him. The files fell all over the desk.Everyone's lost their minds in my life, it seems, I sighed to myself.
"In my office, now," I instructed, heading directly to my office.
As I entered my spacious office, I walked across the large black-glassed wooden table and took my seat as CEO.
I looked up at Kiran, standing before me. "Present me my schedule."
"Yes, sir, here." he replied, handing me the iPad with my schedule, nodding as I checked the details.
"Make sure everything is going smoothly—and wait" I said, stopping him as he turned to leave.
"I want you to gather some details about a girl," my voice clear and cold.
Kiran's eyes widened, knowing I never showed interest in women.
