Rosé POV
I wake up alone in bed and reach for my cell phone. It was already past ten and there was a message from Alice saying she was already at the hotel. I sigh and get up. The girls must have gone to work at least three hours ago.
I take a shower, fix my hair and get dressed, in a simple black skirt and shirt. I walk to the kitchen and find a note.
I tried to wake you up, but you seemed too tired, so I decided to let you sleep, have some breakfast before leaving.
J.
I smile and start looking at breakfast, I took a piece of toast and took a bite, there were scrambled eggs on a plate, but as soon as I smelled it I wanted to vomit, the nausea came suddenly and I couldn't eat the rest of the toast, I just thanked myself for not vomiting.
I drank a glass of water and walked around the house waiting for the discomfort to pass while I petted Hank and Kuma, when I felt better I just grabbed my bag and left in my car, which Jennie gave me as a Christmas present.
It didn't take long to get to the hotel, I just thanked her for being more independent now, or I would be freaking out, what I'm really feeling is anger, because I know Alice didn't come here for nothing.
— You're here — He says hugging me when he opens the door to his room and I hug him back and then go in.
— Are you going to tell me what you want? — I ask and sit on the bed
— You look different, the way you dress, the way you talk
— If you had kept in touch with me, you would have seen the changes
— Rosie, let's go back home
— Oh my God, Alice, I can't believe you came here for this, I'm happy and living my life — I say, standing up again.
— You're dating not one, but two women, it's even worse
— Why worse? I'm loving and being loved, I'm following my dream, I'm happy, more confident, I've only gotten better all this time, I love them and I'm not going to leave them — I say firmly
— Okay, you're convinced of that, but I came to visit you, I miss you.
— Didn't you miss me at Christmas or on my birthday? — I ask and she sighs.
— Mom asked me not to send it — Say
— See, Alice? That's why I left home, you're 22 years old, two years older, and yet you let them control you, that wasn't the life I wanted for myself — I say
— And now you're controlled by two girlfriends?
— Not controlled, on the contrary, Jennie and Lisa have only been helping me more and more to become independent — I say
— It's okay — He says and comes to me, hugging me — I missed you, and I'm not that controlled — He says, separating — They forbade me from coming, and here I am
— Then why are you trying to convince me to come back? — I ask
— Rosie, you like women, and you're dating two, that's not right — He says and I roll my eyes
— Why is liking women wrong? Tell me a reason without using god — I say
— I don't know, but it feels wrong.
— Because you're homophobic, obviously it seems wrong, but I love them, I'm happy and nothing will make me leave them — I say
— You always wanted to start a family, have children, how do you plan to do that?
— We haven't talked about having a family yet, but I know the girls want to in the future and we can do that — I say
— A child with three mothers?
— Children don't worry about that kind of thing, Alice, they want love and affection, a family, how many children aren't abandoned and wouldn't give everything for a family, even if it wasn't a "normal" family — I say and she sighs, my heart was racing and I felt a little dizzy
— Okay, you're right — He says and looks at me — Are you okay?
— Yes, I just didn't eat anything today — I say.
— It's almost lunch time, let's eat somewhere before we end up passing out from hunger — He says, getting up and I do the same and it doesn't take long for us to leave the hotel — Nice car
— Jen's gift — I say, starting to drive.
I stopped at a restaurant I knew and we went to eat. I ordered some water to see if the discomfort would go away, but it didn't do much good, probably because I'm stressed out thanks to my sister.
I also couldn't eat much at lunch and back at the hotel, Alice made me lie down for a bit to rest and I ended up falling asleep.
...
I wake up to the sound of my cell phone and open my eyes to see Alice taking it out of her bag.
— Who is it? — I murmur.
— Lisa — She says, handing me her cell phone. I look at the time, it's already past six in the evening, I slept practically all day.
— Hi love — I say
— Rosie, we were worried, why didn't you answer the messages and other calls?
— Sorry, I fell asleep here at the hotel after lunch, I just woke up — I say
— Is everything okay? You haven't even touched breakfast yet.
— I didn't really feel like eating, I felt like I would throw up anything
— Do you feel better?
— Yeah, it was just stress — I say
— Did everything go well with your sister? — Jennie asks
— It depends on your point of view, but it was better than I expected — I say
— Are you coming home for dinner? — Lisa asks
— I'm going — I say — See you soon — I say, hanging up
— Are you going home already?
— I spent the afternoon here — I say
— Sleeping — He exclaims
— Let's do it like this, tomorrow we'll have lunch at my house, with Jennie and Lisa — I say and she looks at me — You judge them without even knowing them, so please
— Okay, I'll have lunch at your house — She says and I get up, tidying my clothes and hugging her.
— I'm coming to get you — I say before leaving
