You woke on a hammock, in a... house? You looked around. "Where am I?" You asked yourself. You sat up from the hammock to look around and see different types of furniture and decorations. The plant in the pot, placed on a hanging shelf. Even the thought it was.. cute.

You hear the door begin to creak open and you see a kid. You tilted your head. So did he. You tilted your head the other way. So did he. You chuckled and raised your hand. "Hey..." you said aloud. The kid blinks before yelling.. "uhkt!!! The traveler is awake!!" And running off. You chuckled to yourself. 'Traveler'? Sigh...

You stood up to chase after the kid but noticed a woman came up to the door. Leans against the door frame, arms crossed under her breasts. She reminded you of Violet, and.. it hurts. "Hello" you greeted first.

The woman nods a little, "greetings, traveler" she replied. She looked you up and down.
You noticed this and assumed, 'she the one that saved me?'. "Hey, you the one that saved me from freezing to death last night?" You asked. The woman shakes her head gently. "No, it was my father whom you owe. He saved you" she replied, her expression still unreadable and still as hard as stone.
Now, you noticed this, you're not one to ignore little details, so you couldn't help but point out. "Did I make a bad first impression?" You asked, hoping she'd give a clear answer, or hoping that she'd be open to a mutual understanding.
She raised her eyebrow and shakes her head gently again. "Not a bad first impression, no. Most people wouldn't survive this part of Aetheria. You're just like everyone else, nothing to be ashamed of. Forgive me, but I have to be caution of you and your capabilities" she said, expressing her concern for safety.
You nod understanding her concern so you didn't have any hard feelings, safety is always first.
She motions you to follow her out. You think about it, but really, there's no danger in going out there.

You followed her out and see a thriving town. Kids were playing around and people around were also working tirelessly. "What's this place?" You asked her in awe.
She turned to look at you and smirked. "Welcome to Eldoria!!" She said with pride.
You nod. Eldoria? That sounds like a wonderful name..

She took you on a tour after determining you were no threat. She showed you the farms, the houses around, and the pens. But one thing caught your eye, the fountain with a statue sitting on the top.
She stopped as soon as she noticed where you were gazing at. She stood beside you. "That is our ancient forefather, sadly, no one knows his name. Only how he looks, and what he did"

...what did he do? "Sorry, what exactly did he do?" You asked.
She smiles and answers softly. "Well, he is the one who built the eternal fountain to this village. As you can see, this fountain is connected no other source of water, but the fountain never dries. The water is also drinkable as well" she said.

Never dry? That doesn't make any sense... actually never mind, it kinda does, considering you're in a world where things and people can defy gravity.

... "my name's Owen" you said, trying to continue the conversation further.
She turned and looked at you. Nodding. "My name's Lunarie, nice to meet you"

They have names? Wait but, hangon.. they aren't Valorians? "You have names?"

She almost bursts out laughing at your question, probably internally thinking that you're dumb or something. "Of course I have a name! How else are we suppose to communicate with one another?"

...sigh.. I really am dumb sometimes, aren't I?
"What... species are you?"

She narrows her eyes and raised an eyebrow. "Species? What am I an animal?"

Your eyes widen, realizing your choice of words might be a bit offensive. "No! No! Uh-... I meant race.. yes, r- race, what race are you?"

She calms down and laughs. "Oh relax, I was just messing with ya! We are what's called Desertumians"

You nod and the thought lingers for a moment. You repeat it once, committing it into memory.

You wanted to ask another thing but was cut off when you suddenly felt something punching your butt. You turn around and notice a child. The same child you saw in the beginning. You wanted to greet him but was cut off when Lunarie suddenly scolded the child. "Liam, cut it out, you little rascal!! You're making me look bad!!" She yelled.

The boy, Liam, sticks out his tongue and blew a raspberry at her. "Whatever! Atleast I'm not walking around after snagging a man from the dunes!!"

Lunarie gasps in offense. "He- our father was the one who saved him from the dunes, you worthless nuisance!!" She tried to grab Liam but he just dodged and ran away while blowing her another raspberry.

You watch in amusement and can't help but chuckle. "Who's he?"

Lunarie sighs and sits up. "My brother. My younger brother. He's just so annoying, never minding his own business"

You chuckle again. "Is that so? I think he's quite cute"

She rolls her eyes in annoyance. "Yeah, of course you do. Everyone likes the younger ones. Everytime. Come, you must now meet my father"

Her father? "Who's your father?"

She began to walk, urging you to follow behind while also answering your question. "My father, the man of the family, even the village. His name is Krogar The Merciful"

Oh..? "Man of the village? He's a chief?"

"Yes, yes he is" she said as she stops infront of a door to her home.

"The.. chief's in there?" You asked, a little hesitant after.. yeah, that incident. ***(read "Dear Violet" to understand)***

"Yes, the chief is in there. Now remember, be nice. He can be a bit.. firm sometimes" she warned.
