Ch. 11 - Amelia's + Alicia's POV

We have been best friends since kindergarten. We did everything together, from playing in the park to sharing secrets under the stars. We even were inseparable and nothing could ever come between us. But one day, tragedy struck. Our friend, Amber, had passed away in a fire. It was devastating for us, who couldn't believe our bubbly and wonderful friend was gone. However, we were heartbroken and couldn't stop crying, but both of us knew that we had to be strong for Amber's parents. 


On the day of the funeral we stood side by side, holding each other's hands for support. We were both dressed in black, with tears streaming down our faces as we watched Amber's parents walk in. We felt heartbroken to see the pain in the eyes of Amber's parents who had lost their only child. 

As they sat in the front row, we reminisced about the memories they shared with Amber. Laughing through our tears, we remembered the time we all got lost in the woods during a camping trip.

Amber's parents joined in, sharing their own memories of their daughter Amber. It was bittersweet, but it brought a sense of comfort and closure. 

During the eulogy, we couldn't hold back their tears. Holding each other tightly, we seeked comfort in our friendship.

As the service ended, we walked over to Amber's parents and hugged them tightly. We promised to always be there for them, just like Amber would have wanted. 

After the funeral, we walked hand in hand to the park where they used to play with Sarah. Sitting on the swings, we watched the sunset and felt grateful for the memories we shared with our dear friend Amber. We knew that Amber would always be with them, in their hearts and in their memories, and we would never forget the beautiful soul that she was…
