I'M FINE-

⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•

Blake sat in her living room, watching as her mom and dad talked about the field trip, before ultimately deciding to let Blake go.

"It'd be a good opportunity for her to make some friends."

"That is true."

The noirette just sat there awkwardly as her parents talked, until they signed the slip, and she eagerly thanked them.

"Thanks Ma! Thanks Da!"

And with that, she ran off to her room to go gather stuff she will possibly need on this trip. An entire backpack full of shit.

Right as she had finished getting an outfit and everything she needed, she paused, her gaze stopped on her army knife that sat on the table beside her bed.

'Should I..? It's just going to be a field trip, I shouldn't need it..but..'

She sighs, her gut obviously telling her to take it. So, she did. She grabbed the knife, and carefully put it into the sheath she had already attached to her belt. Hiding it with the jacket around her waist, she turned, and left.

Next thing she knew, she found herself outside the bus, sending her parents a message in their little group chat, and smiling at a message her dad sent.

Kylo: 'Don't remember your awesome fighting skills if you need them, kiddo!'

Blake: 'I won't, da.'

She glanced up from her phone when she heard Mr Thomas speak up. "Alright, everyone start filing into the bus. We're getting ready to leave for Savannah in T minus five!"

Everyone started climbing into the bus, Blake being one of the last people on. Slowly walking down the aisle, she noticed Ashlyn sitting alone.

That was surprising.

She grinned a little, walking over and giving the ginger a quick wave. "Hey Ashlyn. I didn't expect to see you here?"

The ginger looked up, almost seeming annoyed from the sudden interaction, but she also did seem to relax a little when she saw it was Blake.

"...My dad convinced me."

"Heh, well, mind if I sit here?" She glanced at Aiden, who sat behind the seat Ashlyn was in, before she leaned closer to whisper to the ginger. "I can distract smiles over there for ya."

Ashlyn thought about it for a second, though she moved over, and Blake sat down and placed her backpack in-between her legs on the ground.

Mr Thomas went on, talking about the schedule for the trip. Blake mostly zoned him out, staring up at the ceiling. He gives her a bad vibe-

She slowly inhaled, though that was when she smelled rotten flesh. And she sat up immediately, her eyebrows furrowed. Looking around, there was nothing. No phantoms...yet, the smell was coming from the front of the bus.

Where Mr Thomas-

"You okay?" A voice snapped her out of her thoughts, and she looked over at Ashlyn. The ginger's face was mostly blank, yes, but she did seem a little worried.

"Oh..uh, yeah, I'm fine. Just smelled something funny."

"I don't smell anything..?"

"Ah...I have a stronger sense of smell than most..."
