Cumulus sat in the bathroom for ages..it felt like, she didn't want to come out and face her mate who had set up the perfect night, She felt down and didn't want to ruin the night with her feelings, She glanced at the mirror every now and then, Seeing her body.. as much as she loved her body she often began to hate it, especially when Siblings of sin would make snarky comments about her weight or looks, when they would purposely point out if her shirt was to tight, She hated it. It made her feel worthless, not worthy of Cirrus. Her beautiful mate who had the perfect, curvy, toned figure, Her beautiful mate who never struggled to lift a heavy box or snack on chocolates when she wanted.
All she wanted was to be enough for Cirrus. But she didn't feel as if she was. She felt sick, sick thinking of the things those siblings whispered to each other..
"Do you think Cirrus stays with her because she feels bad?" That rang through her mind for hours on end, tears welled in her eyes each time the whispers came back, Bad voices in her mind telling her she was worthless, ugly, not worth it, Suddenly the thoughts were knocked away by the knocks of Cirrus.
"Lulu? You've been in there a while.. Is everything okay?" Cirrus called out, her voice was so soft, so calm, Her voice always made Cumulus feel better..not this time, this time she wanted to burst into tears upon hearing it, She couldn't get a response out, all that came out was a small sob, And Cirrus heard it. If it weren't for the fact these doors were ghoul kick proof, she would've busted the door down to get to her mate.
"Lus..Open the door. Please?" Cirrus asked, Hoping Cumulus would open the door, and she did, she sucked in a deep breathe and she flicked the lock, Pulling the door open, Her teary lavender eyes glancing up at Cirrus, Cirrus immediately pulled her into a soft, comforting hug. "Lus, what's the matter? Why are you crying?" Cirrus asked, holding her beautiful mate close.
"..its stupid.." Cumulus whispered through a small sniffle, tears soaked into Cirrus' dark purple sleep shirt. "Nonsense.. Come on, sit with me and talk." Cirrus walked Cumulus over to their bed, sitting the smaller ghoulette down in front of her. "Please talk to me, lus.." Cirrus cupped Cumulus' cheeks, gently wiping a tear away.
"Do you really love me..?" Cumulus asked, she didn't want to doubt it but those Siblings words had gotten to her..Cirrus stared in shock, of course she loved her mate, Cumulus was extraordinary, beautiful, caring and loving.. "Of course I so lus, I love you so much. Words couldn't even explain it." Cirrus stated, gently kissing Cumulus on the forehead.
"I don't understand.. How do you love..This?" Cumulus snifled again, gesturing to her body, Cirrus laid beside Cumulus and pulled the ghoulette onto her chest, holding her in a warm hug. "Because you're beautiful, I love you and every single part of you. No matter how you look or how you smell, I will always love you no matter what." Cirrus smiled softly, her hand going to Cumulus' horns and rubbing the base with ease. "Really..?" Cumulus asked.
"Of course, I wouldn't lie to you, Lulu." Cirrus spoke with a smile, Cumulus then smiled as well, wiping her tears away, She then lifted her head and kissed Cirrus. "I love you so much, Cir.." Cumulus spoke with a small lavender blush on her tear stained cheeks.
"I love you more, lulu, Now.. Let's watch a movie, yeah?" Cirrus grinned and kissed Cumulus all over her face, Cumulus kicked her legs and gave a small laugh, her tail intertwined with Cirrus' as Cirrus pulled her into a kiss. Of course, she kissed back.
How could she had ever doubted her mates love..she felt blessed to have Cirrus, and Cirrus felt blessed to have Cumulus.
Next day 2 Siblings were mysteriously found dead, Tore to pieces by -what they suspected was- a bear, Always protect your mates. Even if that means disposing of some unwanted humans.
