"Happy Halloween!" Dr. Winans shouted as he walked in the doors of the facility's cafeteria.

The cafeteria was normally where visitors and staff ate but today it's where the facility held their first halloween party for the patients.

Carmen along with the help of some of the doctors spent all morning putting up decorations and dealing with the caterers.

Drew had opted out of decorations as he wanted to hold his session with a patient a bit earlier today, not wanting them to have fun at this party and then be faced with a serious session afterwards.

Now, here he was standing near a corner in the cafeteria with two of his co-workers in a black cashmere sweater because it was the only clothing in his closet he thought could pass for halloween attire.

Some of his co-workers on the other hand went all out in full costumes and some in their regular white coats.

Carmen was a sexy nurse, much to everybody's pleasure.

"I know this is a party Drew, but I have to commend you on the progress you've made with Karen," Dr. Samuels told him.

Drew rarely spoke to Clive — his first name — in or outside of work. The guy was much older than him and had been working here for years.

"Thanks, Dr. Samuels," Drew politely smiled.

"It's Clive, man," Dr. Samuels nudged him. "I watched you grow up. When you started working here I couldn't believe it was you."

Drew kept the polite smile on his face, wanting this conversation to be over.

"With all that progress you're making, she may be out of here by next year," Dr. Samuels continued. "That is if she doesn't screw it all up like she did last time."

Drew's head snapped in the direction of the doctor. He couldn't believe his ears.

"Excuse me?"

Dr. Samuels shook his head, "I don't mean to be so blunt but she was so close to getting out of here last time and then she just...stopped all her progress. It'd be a shame for her to do it again."

"She won't do it again," Drew said firmly.

"You don't know that," Dr. Samuels shrugged.

"No, I do know that," Drew frowned. "I believe in her."

The older doctor clicked his tongue, "Believing can only take her so far. She has to want it for herself."

Drew wanted nothing more than to say a few choice words and leave this man groaning on the floor on his knees.

He decided that he wouldn't be the cause of this party coming to an end, "You're right. She has to want it for herself. It's a good thing that she does. Excuse me, Dr. Samuels."

He made his way over to the juice bowl. He glanced around the room and saw that the patients were all socializing with each other. They seemed to be having fun.

He was trying to avoid looking for one particular patient since the beginning of the party but his eyes couldn't help but to find her.

She was sitting in one of the booths, across from Betty and his other patient, Thomas.

He didn't know why she chose to sit by Betty. It was clear that she didn't like the woman.

"Did you talk to Betty?"

Drew looked up from his notes that he was writing back to his patient. She was waiting for his response patiently.
