Blake Sinclair
"Blake, will you and Brynn come to my party on Thursday?" I looked up from my phone at her, raising an eyebrow. "I know she can get alcohol, so.." I scoff, shaking my head.
"Wow, you only want us there because she can get you alcohol?" She put her hand over her heart, as if she was offended, and parted her lips.
"Of course not! The alcohol is just like, an addition." She says, which is clearly a lie.
"Fine, I'll ask Brynn at school." Sloane's lips tilt up in a smirk.
"Thanks!" She blows me a kiss before walking out the kitchen. I roll my eyes and finish my waffle before I get up and tuck my phone into my pocket, heading to the foyer. I slide my tongue over my top row of teeth, as I grab my backpack, checking all the stuff I need is in there, before throwing it over my shoulder. I turn all of the lights off before leaving the house and starting to walk to school. I'd ask Sloane to take me, but she's probably going back to sleep. Mom and Dad are both at work, and bus isn't, and never will be, an option. So walking it is.

"Where's Ev?" I ask as I sit next to Adrian on the step in the school stairway. We were always early. Well, we only have ten till class, but that's still early, right? Adrian shrugs, handing me a red pen. I take it, knowing I'd need it since I always forget to bring one.
"Probably with Mallory." Brynn says, sitting on the other side of Adrian.
"Oh, yeah, Brynn, Sloane wants to know if you'll come to her party. She wants alcohol." I know she'll say yes, since she loves my sister. She does say yeah, and then I ask Adrian if he wants to come.
"No, sorry dude. Soccer practice." I chew the inside of my cheek and give him an 'okay'. Evelyn's probably hanging with Mallory, so its just going to be me and Brynn. Great. I mean, not in a bad way. I don't even want to go, really. But its at my house so it will be hard to ignore. I'll just try not to get drunk. Then I remember basketball try-outs are on Thursday, too. God, Thursday isn't going to be a fun day. I'm hoping I don't fuck up try-outs. Even right now, the memories are there. Even though its been three years, I still can't forget. That also brings me back to Finney texting me the other day. I never responded to his text, because I went to text Angel and forgot to text him back. I don't want to talk to him though, so I don't care. But I am curious as to why he's texting me only now.
I figured he'd forgotten about me. I didn't forget him, clearly. But he showed no interest in me after what happened. It sucked, honestly. He was my best friend. Well, second to Brynn. It was petty, the whole thing. It wouldn't have happened if Finney hadn't been so fucking perfect. Even thinking about it pisses me off, and I know I won't be texting him back.
The bell snapped me out of it. "Still no Evelyn." Adrian said with a sigh as the three of us got up. We walked to the maths corridor, and I said goodbye to Adrian and Brynn before heading to the other side of school where my class is. The bell rang before I was even close to my class, and the hallways were emptying now. I liked being late, because I didn't get in trouble for it. Someone stepped beside me and started walking with me. I didn't have to look up to know who it was.
"You're late, Sinclair." I scoffed.
"You don't have permission to call me by my last name."
