While Leonardo, Raphael, and Michaelangelo are in Foot Tower trying to retrieve the Heart of Tengu for Agent Bishop, they encounter the two purple & black clad ninjas that accompanied Karai when she first arrived in New York
The mutant ninja turtles Leonardo, Raphael, and Michaelangelo infiltrate the Foot Clan's headquarters, a tall tower with a Japanese garden on top, to retrieve a mysterious artifact called the Heart of Tengu on behalf of Agent Bishop of the Earth Protection Force.
As they are making their way through the tower to the artifact, they enter a mysterious red room that they didn't enter the first time they were there. In that room, they encounter some old acquaintances of theirs. They were one other than the two black & purple-clad Foot Ninja that accompanied Karai when she first arrived in the city.

"Oh, it's the purple people eaters?" mused Raphael.
"Um, bad jokes are Mikey's department." said Leonardo.
But Michaelangelo is not laughing. A worried look appeared on his face. He remembered his last encounter with these two: Mohawk avoided each of his nunchaku swing and kicked him & Casey far away with great strength. Baldy was even MORE nimbler & acrobatic. He also noted how both of them disarmed Donnie of his bo staff. "Maybe we shouldn't underestimate these guys." he said finally. "The only reason why they beat you, Donnie, and Casey was because Leo & I were busy with Karai. We can handle them." said Raphael.
He had no idea how wrong he was.
Mohawk drew his ninjato and faced off against Leo, who drew both of his swords. Mohawk out bladed him and knocked both ninjatos out of Leo's hands.
The Foot Ninja then pulled out a pair of sais and faced off against Raphael. Mohawk countered his attacks with ease. He used a kip up to kick Raph to a wall and then threw his sais at Raph's wrists, pinning him to the wall. He then grabbed Raph's pair of sais and threw them to the floor, ricocheting them off the floor and onto Raphael's ankles, completing the pin.
Mikey tried to sneak attack him from behind, but Mohawk back tucked over him, grabbing both of his nunchakus and beat on him with them.
While that was happening, Leo recovered his ninjatos and tried to fight Baldy. But Baldy avoided each blow and headbutted Leo to a wall. He charged at the turtle, but Leo moved out of the way and Baldy ran right into it. But instead of being knocked out like a normal human, his head went right through the wall. He pulled his head out without a scratch!
Leo then freed Raph from the pin. The went to Mikey and helped him up. "I don't think we can beat these guys." he said. "We have to. For Donnie." said Leo.
The three turned to face their opponents. But with a swift, fluid motion, the bald ninja disarmed all three of them before they can even move! It was if time stood still for everyone except Baldy. Stunned by the speed and precision of their opponents, the Turtles realized retreat was their only option.
"Fall back, guys." said Leo.
They were in between the two purple ninjas and the door. But as they turned to leave, the black and purple-clad ninjas jumped into the air and landed in front of the door, showing their inhuman leaping ability. The Turtles were now frightened by the pair. "How?" asked Leo.
"We are the Purple Fantom Foot. An elite class of Foot Ninja that has attained a level of strength & speed that is beyond even the finest Olympic athletes." answered 'Mohawk'. A tense silence ensued, broken only by the bald ninja's calm voice.
"By the way, where is the fourth one? The one in the purple mask?" asked 'Baldy'.
"He's very sick. And we are here to find a way to help him." answered Leonardo.
After a brief glance at each other, the par moved away from the door. "You may leave." he said, a hint of respect in his tone. "Help your brother. But know this, this is the only time we'll show mercy. If you ever return, we will destroy you. And you know that you cannot defeat us at only 25 percent of our full potential."
The three Ninja Turtles were stunned by this revelation. "They weren't fighting us at their full strength?!" thought Leo.
And with that, the trio left the room, continuing their search for the Heart of Tengu.
