I was shocked when Jooha put his head on my shoulder and gave me a light hug. He hated me, he told me he never wanted to look at me again, so I did exactly that. So why is he hugging me and telling me he can't live without me?
He lifted his head after a while and looked at me. He looked all busted up, his lips were bleeding, eyes teary.
His hands were still on my hips, and he pulled me a bit closer to him. Then he leaned into me, pressing his lips against mine.
It didn't seem like he was worried about anybody seeing us. He turned us around and pushed me against the lockers before deepening the kiss.
I felt suffocated, I mean, it's what I wanted, but he's forcing it too much, I can't breathe.
I put my hands onto his chest to push him off. It took a lot. He didn't want to let go. I took a moment to breathe, avoiding his eyes.
"What? Did you lose feelings for me?" He asked.
I could hear in his tone that he was getting mad.
"No, I just couldn't breathe," I said. "Maybe we should take it slow."
"Take what slow?" He asked.
I looked at him, he's agitated, it seems like he's holding back again.
I guess he never said he'd be my boyfriend... there is nothing to take slow between us.
"Okay," I said. "There is nothing."
I pushed him a little harder, which caused him to back up and take his hands off of me.
"Take care of your wounds," I said before walking away, wiping my mouth of his blood.
----
I sat with TaeYi and SeHeon in class, forced to watch them be all lovey dovey. They don't even care that I'm literally right in front of them, and they can't keep their hands off of each other.
"When is your next basketball game?" Seheon asked me.
"Ah, I'm quitting," I said, smiling. "I'm going turn in my release papers during the normal practice time,"
"Really? Why? Is it because of what's been going on? I mean, you've been getting hurt pretty often, " He asked.
I shook my head, "I just don't want to do it anymore, and my injuries are from me being clumsy, I've already explained it before,"
----
During practice, I avoided going into the changing room until everyone was out, and then I went in to collect my belongings. I shoved them into my school locker before going to the gym to see the coach.
My heart was pounding to walk in there, I knew Jooha was in there, probably waiting for me or not. I've been skipping practice lately...so hopefully the coach isn't too mad when I give him my paper.
I took in a big breath and let it out slowly before opening the doors to enter. The coach was talking to them, but when I walked in, it went silent.
He turned around and looked at me. "Where have you been, Doyoon? You missed 3 practices!" He yelled. "Get over here,"
I walked over to him, holding my paper behind my back. Everyone was frozen in place on the court, just watching and waiting.
I guess waiting for me to get scolded.
I kept my distance from the coach when I got close and bowed to him before standing up and handing him the paper.
He took it quickly and skimmed it before looking at me. "You quit?! Why? It's the middle of the season, and you quit?!"
"I'm sorry," I said, bowing again.
He let out a sigh, "Did you collect your things?" He asked.
"Yes, sir," I said.
"Alright then, I'll turn this in tomorrow. Come back before then. If you want to continue playing, you might regret this," He said. "Get out."
I nodded before turning around, seeing Jooha staring at me, standing in front of me, far away, but still in front of me.
I looked away before walking towards the doors, nearly missing him on my way out. Relief washed over me when I was out of there.
I only began playing because of him, but now that it can't be because of him, I don't have a reason anymore.
----
I got onto the bus to go home and I went all the way to the back and as soon as I sat down and put my bag on my lap someone sat down next to me, even though there were a bunch of empty seats.
I turned my head to see who it was, expecting it to be a stranger, but it was Jooha, and he's looking straight at me.
My eyes widened a bit for a few seconds, surprised. I tried to understand the situation, but it didn't make sense. He doesn't even take this bus.
"What are you doing?" I asked softly.
"We need to talk," He said.
I swallowed a bit hard. "About what? I already did what you wanted, " I said softly.
"Shut up," He said. "You're pissing me off,"
I turned away before trying to scoot closer to the window.
He was silent the rest of the ride, and then I clicked the button at my stop, standing up to get off.
He was in my way, and he didn't move. I tried to squeeze past him, but then I fell back when the bus came to a stop, falling onto his lap. I was holding onto the seat in front of me, and I quickly got up off of him and got off the bus.
"What the hell?" I mumbled to myself, looking at the bus, and then I noticed he wasn't sitting in the back anymore.
I looked at all the windows but I didn't see him.
I furrowed my eyebrows before turning back around to head in the direction of my house, but I saw him in front of me. I jumped and gasped, "What are you doing?"
"I said we need to talk," He said.
"What? You told me to shut up, " I reminded him. "What do we need to talk about?"
"Where is your house? Let's talk there, " He said.
"What? Why?" I asked. "We can talk here. Nobody is around," I said, looking around for anyone.
"I want to talk in your house," He said.
"Why?" I asked.
"Why do you keep asking? Just take me there, " He said. "I'm not going to do anything to you,"
I just kept looking at him for a while, wondering if he'd say anything else, but he didn't.
