He followed me onto the bus. As soon as we got out of school, he followed behind me, but I didn't say anything until he sat next to me on the bus.
"What are you doing?" I asked.
"Escorting you, you aren't gonna pass out again, right?" He said.
"I said I'm fine, drop it already," I said before looking out the window, holding my backpack on my lap, keeping it close to me.
He then put his hand onto my forehead.
I turned back to look at him, and then he put his hand down, returning it to his pocket.
"What happened? If you aren't sick, then what happened?" He asked.
I rolled my eyes and looked back out the window, I thought he was going to be sweet, but of course, he had to ask more questions and nag me.
----
I let him into my apartment because I knew he wasn't going to leave.
I went over to my fridge and looked for a water bottle, grabbing one to crack in open to drink a little bit. It's refreshing. It's so hot outside.
"I'm going change, sit on the couch and wait for me" I said before going into my bedroom, closing the door, and then I waited a few seconds before locking it, just to be safe.
----
I changed into my home clothes, basically just a matching lounge set, black shirt, black pants, silk texture.
It's comfortable, I change into other clothes after I shower, but these are my out of uniform pre shower clothes, basically.
I went over and sat on the couch beside him, but I kept my distance as I turned the TV on to start looking for something to watch.
"What are you doing?" He asked. "You're acting weird,"
"I'm always weird," I said. "Your words"
He sighed before scooting closer to me.
"You should leave. My parents will be home soon," I said. "Obviously, I got here fine, if that's really what you came here to find out."
"I'll leave when they get here," He said.
"I don't need you here, I already said I'm fine, don't your parents want to know where you are?" I said.
"They won't care. They don't even notice when I'm gone," He said. "You're the only one freaking out,"
I turned and looked at him, I wanted to talk back, but I just stayed silent and stared at him.
Finally, I just turned away and then got up, going into the kitchen to look for a snack. I pulled out a pack of mushroom cookies and closed the pantry. I opened it and started eating them one by one.
I made eye contact with him from the kitchen, he's staring at me, and then he started smiling at me. He stood up and walked over to me.
"What? I'm not sharing, " I said.
He chuckled before leaning against the counter, "I don't want any."
"Whatever you say," I said before leaning on the counter to watch the show that's playing on the TV.
I can feel him staring at me, I don't know what's wrong with him today, but he's acting so weird.
After a few moments, I turned my head to look at him, confirming he was staring at me. "Stop looking at me like that,"
"Like what?" He asked. "I'm just watching,"
"You're staring, at least look away here and there, it's creepy," I said.
"I'm hungry," He said.
I scoffed, "I already said I'm not sharing, you can look for a snack in the pantry," I said.
"No, I want your lips," He said.
I stopped breathing for a few seconds, "Not now, my parents are almost home," I said.
"When? Just give me a peck, " He said.
"You're crazy," I said. "Last time I let you kiss me, you left marks on me, my parents questioned me, so it's not happening."
He rolled his eyes, "I won't do that."
"I don't trust you. Besides, I don't want to," I said. "You can't just do it whenever you want, suck it up,"
"You're the one who liked me first, and you don't want to kiss me? I'm having a hard time believing that, " He said.
"I don't like doing it out in the open. It makes me anxious, I hate it," I said. "It makes me dizzy,"
He furrowed his eyebrows at me, "Is that why you passed out? But why would you be anxious about a dodge ball game?"
What the hell? How did he catch onto that?
"Why do you think that's what happened? I could've been sick, " I said.
"The nurse said your heart rate was really fast, but you weren't hot or anything so she said you seemed concerned about something, your eyebrows were furrowed too, and you did look a little off before it happened" He said. "Am I wrong? Besides, you said you weren't sick, dumby. "
"Think what you want," I said.
"If it's true, what were you so worried about to pass out over it?" He asked. "Is it because you almost got hit? That's a bit overkill for a game. "
"It doesn't matter. It's over," I said. "Just stop thinking about it already,"
Then the front door opened, and I heard my parents talking to each other as they walked inside.
"Son, we're home, are you hun-" my mother called out, stopping when she landed her eyes on Jooha. "Oh, you didn't say you were bringing a friend home. Is this the Taeyi you talk about?" She asked, smiling.
Jooha turned to look at me as if as bit annoyed. "Taeyi?"
"This is Jooha, Song Jooha, not Taeyi," I said.
"Ah... you've never mentioned him before," she said. "Well, hello, are you going home soon? It's getting late, your parents are probably worried"
"I let them know I was here," Jooha said.
"Do you want to stay for dinner?" My father asked. "If your parents are okay with it, our son doesn't usually bring friends home."
"My parents won't mind," He said, smiling.
My mother smiled and looked at my dad.
