Nightmare's Beginning

The moon hung high over Paris, its soft glow casting shadows across the quiet city. All was still, the streets silent after another day of chaos. But inside two separate rooms, the peaceful façade was crumbling. Marinette lay asleep in her bed, her breathing calm at first. Her dreams, usually filled with warmth and laughter, had begun to twist into something darker—something terrifying. In another part of Paris, Adrien slept restlessly, his face tense as he, too, found himself trapped in a nightmare.

In Marientte's Dream...

The dream crept in slowly for Marinette. At first, she saw the faces of her friends—Alya, Nino, and Chloe, all laughing with her in the park. But suddenly, the sky darkened, and the smiles faded from their faces. Alya's body twisted unnaturally, a shadow covering her as she fell to the ground. One by one, they disappeared, leaving only Marinette, frozen in horror.

Marinette: Alya! Nino! Chloe! Where are you?

Marinette's voice echoed in the darkness.

She turned frantically, only to find Tikki, her trusted kwami, lying lifeless at her feet. Her breath hitched in her throat, fear overwhelming her.

In Adrien's Dream...

Meanwhile, Adrien's dream mirrored Marinette's horror. He stood in his family's grand mansion, but the once beautiful home had become a crumbling ruin. Nathalie and Gorilla, people he cared for deeply, collapsed in front of him, their bodies turning to ash as he reached for them. He ran toward his father's office, hoping to find some solace, but when the door opened, Gabriel Agreste stood at the window, unmoving. His figure dissolved into a black cloud, vanishing before Adrien could even scream.

Adrien: Father!

Adrien's voice broke as he sank to his knees, his hands trembling. The weight of loss pressed down on him like a suffocating blanket.

As both Marinette and Adrien spiraled deeper into their nightmares, the same dark figure appeared in the shadows of their dreams: Diablura. Cloaked in shadow, her crimson eyes gleamed as she stepped forward, the echoes of her laughter taunting them both.

Diablura: Look at you, so weak, so fragile. You thought you could protect them? You couldn't even save yourselves.

She reveled in their pain, watching as the nightmares consumed them, feeding off the fear in their hearts. Then, her voice turned into a haunting melody as she began to sing, her words weaving through their minds like poison.

Diablura:
Inside the book that I wrote,
Are all the words that we spoke.
Yeah, only with our eyes.
Now is the time to choose,
Somebody wins and some lose.
I can see through your disguise.

Her voice echoed, weaving itself into their thoughts. Marinette and Adrien both tried to fight the growing despair, but her words slithered through their defenses.

Diablura:
Head down, hope for something better.
Looking at the clouds, there's something in the weather.
You can't keep this up, the lies are just too much.
Kick back, start another fire.
Looking at the clouds, make a chance that you admire.
And you can't stop it now, 'cause you don't know how.
And you can't stop it now.

You can't stop now

Ooh, I knew
Too much love will kill you
Be careful who you choose
Soon you'll see
Que sera, sera
Whatever will be, will be

You can't stop now

Marinette screamed as she watched her loved ones fade from existence. She tried to move, to stop the darkness from swallowing them whole, but her feet were rooted to the ground.

Adrien, trapped in his own personal torment, reached out desperately as the crumbling mansion closed in around him, his friends' faces flashing before his eyes, each one consumed by shadow.
